In the magical world of witches, wands, and whispered spells, a curious twist of fate sent young Char into the wizarding realm. As luck (or magic) would have it, he turned out to be a distant relative of none other than Professor Sprout — Hogwarts’ very own Herbology expert. But Char wasn’t just another student with a green thumb. He was bound to a mysterious Planting System that offered magical rewards in exchange for his gardening prowess.
“Plant ten Devil’s Snares,” the system would say,
and suddenly—Ding!
“Congratulations! You’ve received 10 Fragments of Binding Curse Enlightenment. Your Binding Curse is now legendary.”
Another day, another seed.
“Plant ten Biting Cabbages.”
Ding!
“You’ve earned 10 Fragments of Sharp Spell Enlightenment. Your spell is now sharp enough to slice through dragon scales.”
And so, amidst spell duels and secret chambers, Hogwarts became home to one very focused little wizard. While his classmates were chasing Dark Lords, sneaking into the Forbidden Forest, or narrowly avoiding death at Quidditch practice, Char had more important things to do — like watering his Mandrakes or coaxing Puffapods into bloom.
A three-headed dog guarding the Philosopher’s Stone?

“Cedric died? That’s… tragic. Let me plant a tree in his memory.”
For Char, every problem could be solved with soil, sunlight, and a well-timed spell. His patch of enchanted garden grew lush and legendary.
Until one day—disaster struck.
“The Death Eaters did WHAT?”
“They trampled my saplings?”
“They dug up my vegetable patch?!”
The ground trembled, the wind howled, and the air filled with the scent of blooming vengeance.

translation is probably all done by ai, there are weird mistakes littered throughout the story. also a lot of chinese nonsense with the story line. lots of slapping faces and young master energy.

(Up to chapter 32) I think the story is going well enough so far. It’s a Chinese translation, so there’s always going to be that bit of awkwardness from translation. As for the actual content from the story, I like the system and think that it’s an interesting concept. I also like that Professor Sprout is getting more attention in this fanfiction as opposed to being just another character as usual. That being said, there are things that I don’t like. For one, he seems over reliant on the system for his magic and doesn’t actually seem to study that much. I understand trying to max out benefits, but you actually need to practice magic to get better at it. At this point he knows three spells. My second problem is the heavy glazing, particularly from Prof. Sprout. As much as I like seeing her get some attention, many of her actions, especially in recent chapters seem grossly out of character. She shows far too much favoritism towards the MC, even for a relative. It’s like that kid who’s dad was the coach, but more extreme. The worst part is that MC isn’t even mildly embarrassed by this fact. He was a grown man in his previous life, yet somehow has roughly the same level of self awareness as Draco Malfoy.
Very interesting story. Seriously though who tf just gives 1 star just because it's a translation. At least read it first and see whether either the story is awful or the translation is bad before giving out 1 star.
