Chapter 61: Winds of Rebellion, Ling Mei's Resolve 


In the serene east wing of the sprawling Ling Family Manor, the silence of the morning was abruptly shattered. 


The sharp sound of glass shattering rang through the hallway, followed by the dull thuds of furniture being toppled over. A loud thump, then another crash. Echoes of chaos poured from one particular room, painting the air with tension. 


“What’s all this ruckus!?” A fiery voice growled. 


From around the corridor stepped a tall, lean man with flaming red hair cascading down his back. His crimson robes fluttered as he strode forward, and his ruby-colored eyes flared with intensity. The man’s presence alone carried the weight of authority—Elder Huo, one of the estate’s esteemed elders. 


Two startled servants scrambled to greet him with deep bows. “S-Sorry, Elder Huo!” 


His brows furrowed. “Who dares to disturb my training?”
