A blinding streak of icy blue light arced through the tall jungle air—sharp as vengeance, swift as judgment. It carved cleanly through the thick neck of a snarling beast. 


The creature's severed head hit the ground with a dull thump, its body crumpling soon after. Blood gushed in pulsing waves from the open wound, soaking the foliage beneath in deep crimson. Its fur was golden-yellow, splashed with irregular violet blotches across its flank. Two short, spiral-shaped horns jutted from its feline-like head, and its expression was frozen in eternal surprise. 


From the tall blades of grass and forest bushes, the faint rustling of footsteps stirred the silence. 


Leaves parted. Through the thicket emerged a white-haired figure.
