MY WHOLE BODY IS NUMB. I can't feel anything, even the heavy rain hitting my skin, accompanied by loud thunder and lightning, like there's a storm brewing.
I felt like a statue unable to move, shocked by what I had not expected. And it felt like something in my stomach was twisting and turning, like I was going to faint. Suddenly my heart beat faster as if I was in a race.
A few seconds after he separated from me, I was still standing like a stump. I only returned to my body when he spoke.
"Now, you can't say anything." He just stared at me, looking bored and already soaked from the rain. The few strands of her hair were covering her eyes along the length. I suddenly felt hot. Hot with annoyance. I felt like I wanted to step on a pale radish in front of me right now.
I was staring at him with a wicked look on my face and the crazy thing was that he just stared at me like he had nothing to do.
Because I couldn't stand the itching of my fists anymore and they just landed on his face, causing him to back away slightly and just stare at me with a surprised look on his face while he held his left cheek.
"The f*ck?" He said. I grinned.
"Stupid!!" I was about to punch him on the other cheek but he suddenly grabbed my fist and twisted me backwards. Damn, he's the one who's retarded, he's going to do this to me. "Ugh!" I groaned as he tightly grabbed my wrist.
"Not again, Rose." he whispered to me from behind.
"Let go of me, you animal!" I said as I struggled to get away from him. "You're the one who's behind me and you're going to do this to me!" I exclaimed. "Kuu!! If I can get out of here, I'll really tear you to pieces, you slob!!" I added. I'm really getting annoyed with this slob.
"Try me." he challenged me from behind. I was already cold because of the pouring rain. The heat I felt earlier suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a chill all over my body, probably because of the speaker. "No one can do what you did to me, Rose. Only you," he said coldly. Suddenly the hairs on my body stood up.
"Hah! Because I really will!" I didn't let him know that I was scared. "Let me go," he said calmly. And he let me go. He just stared at me and continued walking.
I held it and looked at my wrist first. Shit, what he did hurt huh. I followed him walking and hugged myself because of the cold. I just followed him quietly and wondered what he would do next if I made a noise. Yak! That's really disgusting.
"Ouch!" I groaned. I didn't realize it he stopped in front of me and I crashed into its wall-like back. I was going to say more when it got ahead of me.
"There..." I turned to where he was pointing not far away, a shack. He continued walking towards a small house. When we got closer, we just stood there like toads waiting for which one of us would knock first. I also noticed that the light was on, I was sure someone lived here. I looked at him first, but the crazy one was just staring at the door, waiting for it to open on its own.
"Tsk," was all I could say and struggled to open it. I knocked a few times before it opened. It spat out an old woman and the expression on her face was one of shock.
"Oh my God! This kids! Come on inside!" He exclaimed. And we entered the small house. "Ramil!!!" I looked at him in surprise because his shout seemed to be heard from the neighboring house, after all, there was no other house here but this one. And Drexel was there, oblivious to what was happening around him.
And an old man called Ramil by his grandmother, whose name I don't know, came out of a room. "What's that, Tasia?!" He shouted back. They don't like to shout, do they? And I think he's just started to lie down in bed and is about to fall asleep. You're the one who's disturbing me, aren't you going to get angry like that?
The old man turned his gaze to us, his face now unreadable. His forehead was furrowed. "Ramil, get them a big towel, or these little guys might get sick," he ordered.
"How could they just dry up?" he replied angrily to the grandmother whose name I still don't know. He glared at Grandpa Ramil when the grandmother whose name I still don't know called him. "Haaiisst...yes, here it is!" He gave up. And he went back to where he had come from earlier. I turned my gaze back to the grandmother who was now shaking her head and looking at our behavior.
"Oh, come on, sit down," he replied. "I'm sorry about that old man, he's really hot-headed, by the way, I'm Lola Tasia and the old man from earlier is my husband Ramil." He introduced us and sat down on the wooden chair in front of us.
"I'm Jakielynn, Jakie for short." I introduced myself to Grandma Tasia. "This is Drexel." I pointed to the one next to me, Hiwal. And Grandpa Ramil came and handed us the towels. I immediately wrapped them around my body because of the cold.
"I know, sister, I know you two..." This was a meaningful answer. And I turned violently to Grandma Tasia as well as Hiwal who was now just smiling at us.
"What?" I asked here.
"Tasia, you've done enough scaring the children," Grandpa Ramil said seriously to Grandma Tasia. Grandma Tasia just laughed.
"Are you a boyfriend and girlfriend?" Grandpa Ramil asked casually. I suddenly choked on my own saliva because of that question. I turned my gaze to Drexel, who now didn't care about what I heard, and I turned my gaze back to Grandpa Ramil and pointed at myself and Hiwal.
"We?" I said with a manly look on my face and winced at the old man's words. "Hah!! That will never happen," I added.
"Oh, my dear, you'll really get your fill of what you're saying," said grandma who now had hot coffee and handed it to us. "Oh. Here's hot coffee, just wait a moment and I'll get some clothes for you to wear." She entered the room that Grandpa Ramil had entered earlier.
I heard Drexel's soft laughter and I just struggled with it and took a sip of the hot coffee. Hmmm...yummy.
"What happened to you guys that you ended up in this place?" He asked us when the three of us were the only ones left in their small living room, if you could call it that.
"Kuuh..don't ask me anymore, it's a long story." I replied, feeling sorry for him, sipping my coffee. He just nodded. Grandma Tasia returned with some clothes.
"Oh. Here, put this on or you might get sick from your wet clothes." she handed them to us. Then Grandma Tasia pushed me into the room she had just left. "Go ahead and put that on," she ordered me and closed the door. She even shouted something that I couldn't hear because I was just focused on the clothes. Is this a dress?
It's so tall it looks like it would fit me and it has a pink floral pattern all over the fabric. I don't know how to describe it but if you've ever seen your grandmother's floral dress, it's like this.
I winced, no choice, I'm going to wear this and I might get a pinch in the groin if I don't. Isn't that what grandmas do? I've never experienced having a grandma, I've only seen her in TV series.
I immediately took off my wet clothes and then I remembered that my underwear was also wet. Something caught my eye under the clothes that grandma had given me. I took it and looked at it, when I saw what it was I immediately winced. Am I going to wear this, seriously? Panties and bra? Who made this suit?
Without hesitation, I got dressed. After that, I went out and saw Drexel who looked like a farmer in his suit. I laughed when I saw his appearance. Because of that, they turned their gaze to me.
"My clothes from my youth fit you perfectly, my dear," she said happily, and not content with looking around, she even adjusted the hem of the dress.
"Ah. Grandma Tasia, what does this look like.." I couldn't finish what I was going to say because she spoke immediately.
"That's something that suits you" I winced at the compliment, it didn't seem like it. I also felt Hiwal staring at me, I turned my gaze to him and just raised his eyebrows. He just smiled as if saying that it suits me. I felt like it wasn't a smile that said that it suits me, it was like a annoyed smile, stupid!
SUNSHINE greeted me immediately when I woke up.
Oh crap! My back hurts.
I immediately got up from the wooden bed and rubbed my back where it hurt. "Aww." I moaned. I'm really not used to this, I probably wouldn't be able to live with my bed like this.
I looked out the window, the heavy rain had stopped and the sky was no longer overcast. After contemplating the beautiful surroundings, I only just noticed how beautiful the surroundings were. Behind the house, there were vegetables planted, and chickens pecking at what they were eating. And the beauty of the surroundings, with only green leaves, was so beautiful to look at. It was so peaceful.
I left the room feeling my stomach growl. I caught up with Grandma Tasia who was having coffee in her small living room facing the backyard. She looked my way when she felt me approaching.
"Oh. You're awake, my dear," he immediately greeted me. And put down the coffee he was holding. "I've prepared breakfast for you, just give me a moment and I'll get it." He stood up and went towards his small kitchen.
The house is not very small, in fact it has two bedrooms where Grandpa Ramil and Drexel slept, and Grandma Tasia and I slept on the other side. It has a small kitchen, a living room, in short, it's like a small apartment for just two people or a small group. And it has a big backyard, like in American movies.
I was just interrupted from thinking about the house when Grandma Tasia put down my breakfast and I thanked her. "Yes, by the way, she was up with you earlier, in fact she's helping Ramil feed the pets right now,"
"Really?" This was an unbelievable question. I thought only women he knew this, but it turns out they'd have something to say. What was I thinking! I just shot myself.
"Are you okay, honey?" He asked, looking at me with concern.
I laughed out loud "It's okay hehehe." and started sipping the coffee that Grandma Tasia had prepared for me. Hmm, it tastes just like mommy's, speaking of mom...oh shit! Maybe she's worried about me because I didn't come home last night.
My thoughts were interrupted when I saw Drexel walking towards the well, his entire body covered in mud, followed by Grandpa Ramil. From what I could see, it looked like he was being taught how to use the well and then left.
I was stunned by what I saw, he took off his top where there was mud and used the well to get the water out of it. The cup of coffee I was about to drink was suspended in midair when Drexel poured the water all over her body using the mug. Very lucky water.
It's as if his eyes have a telescope because I can see every drop of water on his entire body. As the water travels throughout his body, I can't take my eyes off it. It's as if there's glue on his body that I can't remove. The water is going down his biceps towards his six pack abs, going down and down.
I bit my lip so hard. Wait, what's happening to me? I think I've been possessed by a demon. I slapped myself. Don't be silly, Jakie!!. I cursed at myself.
Fuck!
I turned back to grandma Tasia. "I'm really okay, maybe it's just because of the hot weather," I blurted out. Seriously? The weather is hot, it was raining last night.
I bit my lip again. And took another sip of coffee. Shit.
After that embarrassing incident, using Grandpa Ramil's small truck, we were taken to a nearby town. It turned out that we had traveled a long way. And I didn't want to remember what happened earlier and it seemed that Drexel had noticed the stare he had given me earlier. I had no face to show, wait, why is this such a big deal to me?
Ugh!!
When Grandpa Ramil dropped us off, he reminded us of something like our first time in elementary school. And as he left, I still couldn't get Grandma Tasia's last words out of my mind.
"Don't worry, girl, we'll meet again."
I really cringed at what he said, why is everyone around me so weird? I was brought back to reality when Drexel spoke next to me.
"Hop in." he said seriously to me, I looked at him. It was only then that I realized that there was a car in front of us, the same car that had passed me. I didn't hesitate anymore and went inside and Drexel followed.
I also wonder why it knows where we are. There are so many questions running through my mind but I can't find any answers.
A few hours later, we were in front of my house. I looked at Drexel and thanked him, but he didn't say anything, he just nodded in response.
I got out of the car and didn't look back and went into the house before I heard the car leaving. As soon as I entered the house, mom was getting ready to give me a sermon but I didn't hear a single word of the sermon. She just greeted me and went to the dining area.
"Good morning, honey. How was your day?" Mom asked.
My forehead furrowed even more as I looked at mommy, "Oh, this is really weird."
