🎬 Scene: High-Security Room – Day
[Martin sits quietly in the reinforced glass room, restrained by a thick security jacket. His arms are bound tight to his torso. A light flickers above. He's seated, staring at a small book on the table, flipping a page with his tongue slowly.]
The door opens. James and Lucas watch from behind the observation wall. A new visitor enters — a tall, confident man in a black suit: Joshua.
Martin doesn't even look up.
Joshua (cheerful):
"Martin. I've heard a lot about you."
Martin (still flipping the page):
"I see."
Joshua (approaches the glass wall):
"My name is Joshua. I'm here with an offer."
Martin finally looks up — eyes calm, but unreadable.
Martin:
"And you've come all this way… wearing perfume and pretending not to be afraid."
Joshua (grins):
"Why would I be afraid? I'm not here to fight. I'm here to buy. You."
Martin (leans back slightly):
"Buy?"
Joshua:
"Ten million dollars. Or more, if needed. We'll transfer you to a private location. You'll have space to think, work, read — everything you love. My client believes you still have… value."
[A pause. Martin just smiles. Calm. Controlled.]
Martin:
"I see."
Joshua:
"Good. So—"
Martin (interrupts softly):
"You talk too much."
Joshua:
"...Excuse me?"
Martin (smiling faintly):
"You said you're here to buy me. But what I see is a duck in a suit, thinking he's a lion."
Joshua:
"That's not—"
Martin (still smiling):
"If you come close again, I won't say no to ripping your face off with my teeth."
[Joshua hesitates. The smile drops from his face.]
Lucas (watching, whispers):
"Yep. That's the real Martin."
Joshua:
"I came here out of respect. You could've taken this better."
Martin:
"You came here to leash a monster and pretend you're in control. The truth is… you smell like money, and death, and no soul. So I smiled."
Joshua (tight jaw):
"You're turning down ten million?"
Martin (grinning wider):
"I'm turning down you."
[Martin lowers his gaze, casually returning to the book.]
Martin:
"Go sell your deal to a corpse. Maybe they'll listen."
[Joshua looks at Lucas and James through the glass. No one speaks. He turns and walks out.]
Martin (as door closes):
"Don't forget to lock the door on your way out."
