Someone actually had the nerve to mess with her home?
Zheng Haoyun narrowed her eyes dangerously, the corners of her lips curling up into a cold smile.
Ever since she discovered that maps were being sold in the shop, she had made it a habit to place a thin white sewing thread across her doorway every time she left, as a warning trap. After all, she couldn't keep her psychic ability on at all times.
And now someone had walked right into her lair? Since they refused to walk the path to heaven and insisted on barging into hell, of course she had to kindly grant their wish.
That said, Zheng Haoyun was confident but not reckless. She first used her psychic ability to probe the situation inside: there were two men standing inside her ice house, muttering to each other.
To hear them more clearly, she enhanced her ability.
"Bro, did you see the lady's coat hanging on the wall? We got lucky this time—it's a female survivor. But I call dibs, okay? Last time you hogged the woman till she died, I didn't even get a taste. This time I have to go first."
"You're talking crap, Second. Didn't we agree? If we run into a young woman, I go first and you wait your turn. What, you trying to challenge me now?"
Zheng Haoyun's rage flared to a boil. These two scumbags—cutting them into pieces wouldn't be enough.
After going through five survival worlds, this was the first time she had run into scum with this kind of depraved intent. She would definitely make them pay.
She couldn't let them die too quickly either. That would be too merciful—and unworthy of the countless innocent girls they had harmed.
As the two men continued to argue over who would go first, Zheng Haoyun quietly used her psychic powers to amplify their conflict.
Soon, their quarrel escalated into a physical fight.
Still feeling that this wasn't enough, she directly altered their perception so that each saw the other as their most hated enemy.
The result? Their brawl turned into a deadly weapon clash. They beat each other senseless until both were left sprawled on the floor like dying dogs.
Only then did Zheng Haoyun stroll in.
Her calm, measured footsteps echoed in the ice house like the grim approach of death. The two intruders trembled uncontrollably, their bodies shaking like sieves.
They weren't stupid. Everything strange that had just happened clearly had something to do with Zheng Haoyun.
Which only made them even more terrified.
"Tsk. I was actually in a good mood today and planned to let one of you go. Just one. You two can decide amongst yourselves who gets to live."
After saying that, she leaned casually against the wall, watching the two men with cold amusement.
The moment her words fell, the older man snapped. He suddenly pulled a hidden dagger from his waist and stabbed it viciously into the chest of his companion.
"You forced me… it's the only way I can survive…"
He was still muttering when he looked down and saw a machete blade piercing through his own chest.
The pain was overwhelming.
In his final moments, Xu Zhou regretted everything. He never should've messed with this demon woman. How could she possibly be someone who kept her word?
"Tsk. Just seeing your disgusting faces has ruined my mood again. So of course, none of you are getting out of here alive."
When the last man finally died with wide, unblinking eyes, Zheng Haoyun finally relaxed. This was the first time she had ever gone out of her way to torment someone—to ensure they died miserably.
But what those two scum had done had crossed every line. She had always despised men who preyed on women, and these two had gone so far as to divide her up like a piece of property inside her own home.
Disgusting.
Across all the worlds she had been through, this was the first time she'd encountered such shameless trash.
That's why she made sure they betrayed each other first, gave them false hope, and then crushed them in despair.
As for the bodies, Zheng Haoyun had Bi'er help her incinerate them. She frowned at the bloodstains they left on the floor.
Regretfully, she muttered, "Tch… I should've dragged them outside before finishing them. My bad."
Note to self: Next time, make sure not to dirty the ice house.
Once the mess was cleaned up, she suddenly remembered the system prompt she'd heard when she killed the last man.
Opening her game panel, sure enough, there was a notification:
"Ding! Congratulations, survivor 'I Will Turn My Luck Around.' You have slain two notorious invaders. All items in their backpacks now belong to you—including all goods they previously looted from others."
Zheng Haoyun was very pleased with this message. After all that trouble, it was great to get such a substantial reward.
However, the more she thought about the system's wording, the more chilling it became.
If killing someone meant inheriting everything they had—including what they had stolen from others—then wouldn't this encourage players to kill?
Once this got out, there would definitely be people willing to take the risk.
And with the current situation in the game, it wouldn't take long for that realization to spread.
Which meant she would now need to be on guard against every survivor from this point forward.
When the game finally transferred all the loot to her, it filled her entire ice house to the brim—after all, she had a 40-square-meter space.
Sure enough, those two were absolute scum. Killing them was not only justified—it was necessary.
But now came the next problem: how was she supposed to store all this stuff?
She'd have to think that through carefully.
