I Give What You Think You Want

Chapter 8

Cossette's POV

I came back and sat down in front of them.

"How could I forget the main reason I called you both here?" I said, smiling.

Frost raised an eyebrow. "What reason?"

Anika asked, curious. "Yes?"

I leaned forward. "It's a very dirty secret. You won't believe what I found out about you two."

Anika raised a skeptical brow, and I could see Frost tense up beside her.

Anika said coldly, "What are you talking about, Cossette?"

Frost looked at me darkly.

I laughed loudly. "Oh my god, look at your faces! Why are you both so tense? Do you have something to hide from me?"

They exchanged glances, then looked back at me.

I laughed again. "I'm just joking, hello!"

Anika snapped, "Stop acting like a child."

Frost added, "She'll always act like a child who knows nothing."

I met Frost's cold gaze .

That child will make you regret everything...

Calmly, I said, "Actually, I have an idea. That's why I called you here."

Frost smirked mockingly. "Yeah? What's your genius idea?"

Anika chuckled sarcastically. "Yeah, tell us."

I smiled. "What if we combine my father's company — Foody, which is now under my name — with yours, Frost? That way, you'd be number one in the market."

Their faces froze in shock. Of course — that's what they wanted all along, and here I was offering it on a golden plate.

Frost asked, "Are you serious?"

I nodded. "Yes. And you could even have Anika work with you. She's a very good businesswoman."

Anika smiled. "Really, Cossette? You'll do this?"

I said confidently, "Of course. So, it's a deal?"

They both said yes at the same time, sharing victorious looks like they'd won an award.

I added, "But there's one thing before I give you the company."

Frost raised an eyebrow and asked coldly, "What do you want?"

I said, "Give me 30% of my father's company, and make me CEO of that part. You can be CEO of the rest with 70%. And Anika can be your right hand. It's a win-win."

Anika looked shocked. Frost was silent for a moment before saying, "Thirty percent is too much, Cossette."

I answered firmly, "It's not. Because I'm agreeing to combine the companies under your leadership, with no extra costs. I'll only get 30% of the revenue from my father's part. I'll just manage Foody, which will merge with yours. That way, you'll be far ahead of L'éther."

Anika looked at Frost, clearly urging him to think it over. They exchanged a silent conversation with their eyes.

Finally, Frost said, "I accept, Cossette. It's a deal."

I stood up. "Perfect. We'll sign the papers tomorrow." I smiled.

As I turned to leave, I added, "Oh, I almost forgot. My lawyer will come with me to check if everything is legal and legit."

I waved as I said, "Good night, Anika. And babe, see you at home."

I saw their frozen yet satisfied faces before I closed the door behind me.

They think I'm stupid and that I'll accept fake papers and end up with nothing. The old Cossette would never bring a lawyer against her own husband and stepmother. But the new one will.
