Edward returned home and thought about that boy and that man called John without a surname. Nobody knows his surname, just that he calls himself John.

But that boy had black eyes, and nobody has black eyes in this world except one family—Uchiha Clan. If John was connected with the Uchiha Clan, then it would make sense.

The mystery vibe, the cold, that boy…

He was watching them in the forest—how Bella Swan was talking with John in the forest and how that boy entered a few minutes earlier, before Bella Swan arrived.

But he could swear—that man, John, looked at him. But the biggest problem was that he couldn't read his mind. No matter how close he was, it didn't work.

And nobody could escape his mind-reading gift except that girl, Bella Swan… and now that boy and John.

Alice walked to him as Edward was already sitting in the chair, and she said, "You're spiraling."

Edward didn't look at her. "You saw something?"

She responded, "No… I tried, but their future was blank. Blurry. I couldn't see anything."

"So it's not just me…" he said, as he continued, "I couldn't read their mind. Bella and now them… that boy and John. No thoughts…" He sighed.

"Let's tell it to Carlisle," said Alice, as Edward nodded, and both stepped quietly into Carlisle's study. The older vampire—their adoptive father—looked up from his medical texts, calm-faced as he looked at them.

"Carlisle," Edward began, his voice calm but serious. "There's something you need to know."

Alice nodded. "It's about Bella… and those two, the boy and the man who calls himself John—about whom we talked not long ago."

Carlisle set his book aside, leaning forward. "Go on."

Edward took a deep breath. "I tried to read their minds. Bella first, but it's obviously not working as I said before. But… then I tried the other two. It was like hitting a wall. No thoughts, nothing but silence."

Alice added, "I tried too, but I couldn't see both of their futures. Their minds are blank—completely closed off."

Carlisle's brows furrowed. "That's… highly unusual. John looks like a completely normal human. But it could be a similar case to Bella… but two at the same time? In one town there are already three cases, which of course includes Bella. And what boy are you talking about?"

Edward exchanged a glance with Alice. "The boy… he has black eyes." Carlisle's eyes slightly widened.

"Not the usual dark color we see in vampires or humans. It's unlike anything I've ever encountered… except for you," directed at Carlisle, as he had met Uchiha 400 years ago.

"And you think this John," Carlisle said slowly, "might be connected to that clan?"

Edward nodded. "There's a family, as you know, known for having black eyes. And if John is linked to them, it might explain the silence and the mystery…"

Carlisle rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "This is troubling… but even if they are connected to Uchiha—that John—we have nothing to fear. They hunt only vampires who drink human blood. And I don't think they have nothing in their record about vampires like the Cullens, like me, who dont drink human blood. Another example is that 100 years ago or more, they visited our cousins, Denali—and they survived."

They nodded, as Carlisle thought for a few seconds and continued, "I would do surveillance on John and the boy…"

While Edward said, "I wouldn't do that… John saw me, and if he saw me, he will see others…"Carlisle raised an eyebrow. "Saw you?" he repeated.

"Yes," confirmed Edward.

"No ordinary human ever saw us with just bare eyes while hiding. Are you sure?" asked Carlisle.Edward nodded.

"Then that complicates things… I don't want to provoke him openly like that. And that boy—did you ever see him except at the cabin? Like at school? That would be a perfect chance to get close to him and judge him."

"No. I did not see him."

"I see… then I will go personally to meet John and ask him about it, with like… hints, to be sure," said Carlisle calmly.

Edward frowned, with Alice, as he said, "Do you think it's safe? John already saw me, and if he's watching us all, it could get complicated."

Carlisle offered a calm, slight smile. "Edward, believe me—if that John is connected to the Uchiha, like that boy, then we would already be dead if they wanted to. We wouldn't even be able to lift a finger."

Edward frowned deeper, more uneasy at the sound of it, as Carlisle doesn't speak empty words. "But if he can see us, and we can't see inside his mind—how do we know what he's planning? What if he's just waiting for the right moment?"

Carlisle's smile remained calm. "That's why I'm going in with caution—not confrontation. Sometimes, the most powerful way to understand someone is through conversation, not conflict."

"And maybe he is just living here peacefully. But there is a lot of coincidence. Like Uchiha in Forks—a small town where Uchihas could be anywhere else. Vampires like us who drink animal blood too. And the Quileutes—they had contact with Uchiha in the past too."

"But remember don't provoke them. Uchihas are proud, arrogant, and cold. Maybe try to see if John has the traits too. Cold is checked—but if he has those two traits as well, then it must be true."

Carlisle stood. "I'll be careful," he said calmly. "Let me handle the first contact—"

"Your personal visit won't be necessary." A commanding, calm voice came from behind them.

The moment they heard the voice, chills ran down all three of them—especially Edward, as he had heard that voice before. Instantly, they all turned at the same time and created such distance from the voice that they slammed into their house walls.

The moment they saw him, they thought—Since when was he here?

Madara was casually sitting on a nearby chair, calmly, with his fist resting on his cheek, watching them.

Carlisle recovered first, while the other two remained in shock.

"John… your visit is… unexpected."

"So? I can go wherever I want—including your modest house, Dr. Carlisle Cullen. And I figured, since you were preparing to find me, I'd save you the time."

Carlisle gave a faint nod—ever the diplomat and the mature one. "That was our intention, yes. We only wanted to talk. Understand… who are you really? Who is the boy?"

Madara calmly replied, "You've already guessed it. But you're afraid to accept it."

"Uchiha," Edward said.

Madara nodded in confirmation as he leaned back in the chair, folding his arms across his chest. "Sasuke Uchiha, to be specific."

"But what about you? Who are you?" said Carlisle. His aim was fully focused on Madara.

"Does it matter who I am? Names are for those who fear being forgotten. I am not one of them. But even so… my name is not forgotten—and won't be for a long time. In vampire circles, to be specific."

Carlisle's voice was calm, catching the deeper implication. "You speak as if your reputation already precedes you. You're saying the vampire world knows you? "

"They remember, Carlisle," he said coolly. "Even the old vampires in Japan… Romania… or the remains of werewolves. Especially the Volturi."

"But there's no need to fear. I am not here to destroy or kill anyone—unless necessary. If vampires appear, I will act as the Guardian of this town."

they were silent as he then he stood up from the chair and disappeared in a Body Flicker Jutsu
