Frey Dragonheart had always been a reasonable person. He believed that the person he will take as a disciple will be just like him, quick, sharp - witted, and insanely strong compared to his peers.
And this year in the academy he had finally found someone who could be suitable as his disciple.
The third princess of the Blue Moon kingdom, Irina. She was a person you could notice at first glance in a crowded place.
Everything about her was quite intriguing. Her presence, the aura around her and the mysteries, specially why would king Doris even adopt a child out of nowhere when he already had two kids.
And those two were also talented among their classes.
But this was not his problem. The problem right now was that after announcing to the while academy that he would be taking a disciple, Irina might reject him being her teacher.
He was regretting telling the others before the girl herself. While going through all that, he had called Irina to his office for this talk today.
I should probably give her something special as a bribe to accept me as her teacher.
But she is already a princess, what could I possibly give her except my legacy.
Oh! This is really bothering me now. Maybe I could seal the deal with the help of a rare magic stone or maybe even an artifact might work.
Just as he was thinking all this, a knock sounded in the door.
" Come in".
The door opened and Irina stepped in. She greeted the principal.
" Good morning principal. I was told that you had called me.
Can I help you with something?"
She asked respectfully even though she knew what it might be. She still chose to be a little curious or at least pretended to be.
The principal studied her posture and the drops of sweat hanging from her forehead.
It seems like his going to be disciple was a hardworking one and was training before coming here.
He gestured her to take a seat.
" Student Irina. I hope you already know for what have I called you here today."
" Yes sir. I already have an idea about what it may be. But it would not be good to assume things.
So you should directly tell me now."
" Don't be so impatient. Patience is the key to many problems.
Anyways as you know that I have called you here to discuss a very important matter.
I have decided after years of staying in the academy that I will be taking a disciple and you princess Irina perfectly fit my choice of how a disciple should be.
I hereby ask if you would accept me as your master for your rest of the days left in the academy as a student.
You will also have many privileges as my direct disciple in the academy and also out side of the academy.
Afterall it is a status many students have wished for."
" Even if I understand that being your disciple will definitely bring me endless chances to improve myself , I still do not understand why I need to be your disciple to do that.
I already have much more choices as the Apex of my year.
I do not see why should I accept such a thing as taking you as my master just for some more privileges."
" Oh young lady. Do reconsider what you have said right now.
I am a man of my words, if you accept me as your master I would allow you to go anywhere in the academy even in the restricted areas.
Also consider being the bearer of my legacy. Young girl I have even taught your grandfather and father when they were teenagers.
Never once had they told me a negative response to whatever I say."
" Alright please do not contact my father about this. I will accept you as my master principal."
Well this was surprisingly easy. So this young princess was afraid of her father's retaliation.
It might be a good chance to test how far could she go without asking her father's permission.

Right now they were heading to the personal training grounds of the Saint of the central region who was none other than Frey Dragonheart, the principal of the academy himself.
After recieving bows from his newly acquired disciple he was taking her directly to the training grounds.
He truly wished to know just how strong this little girl was to defeat second years in just single blows.
The first thing he asked her was her weapon. She also used sword like many others.
Sword was always an obvious choice among the newbies but some people were just really made for it.
And Irina was one of those few people who were extremely talented in the sword arts.
He asked her to performa sword technique and do her best to cause damage in the training grounds.
He was probably the first man when he saw that his newly acquired disciple had actually caused a tiny scratch to the wall opposite her , he was happy would be an understatement.
He was beyond delighted. She had actually in reality caused a scratch to a training ground specially prepared with high quality materials that were rare to find, just so the ground could block high grade attacks from a Saint.
He usually left marks on the walls and the ground when he trained.
But leaving a mark while not being a Saint was really something he had not expected.
Really, his new disciple was actually this strong. He could not help but feel proud even when he was not the one who had taught her to use that sword move.
He was also surprised when he did not recognise what kind of art she had used.
This was definitely not the art that the royals of the Blue Moon kingdom used.
It was completely different from the royal art. Also she was not of age yet to recieve the royal art.
While Irina had used her every ounce of energy in this sword movement that the old man from the mysterious temple had taught her.
And yet it only left just a scratch. Just how strong were these materials of the training grounds.
But now she could also use her authority as the only disciple of the principal to her advantage.
He had given her just what she had wanted.
Will Irina get what she wants or will this opportunity slip away?
