Cassius had been in the Blue Moon kingdom for about four months. Three months ago his mate Lucian had gone back to complete his third and last year in the Werewolf Academy.

He had thought before that he would have nothing to do once he graduated and will live like other omegas, as household husband.

But after the mating ceremony Lucian had specially requested king Doris, his father in law to let him persue whatever he had an interest in.

Cassius was grateful for this opportunity. Also he wanted to prove that his mate's trust in him was not unfounded.

He had been a top student of healing decision of the academy and wished to become a true healer who could help people in need.

He had researched in medicine and making potions.

The king had gifted him a laboratory of his own that he could use any time.

He had to admit that here in the Blue Moon kingdom, omegas had much more security in the society than his own kingdom.

Omegas were not discriminated and could apply for whatever job they wanted as long as they could prove themselves worthy of the job.

His father in law was very kind and helpful. He would provide for resources and even asked him if he wished to visit Lucian to the academy.

Though he had declined to visit by saying that he would wait for Lucian to return in the midterm break.

There was not a single day he did not miss his mate. Was this the affect of the mate bond or the connection they had formed with each other in their one month together or both?

Maybe both.

The queen did not interact much with him. She was always busy with her etiquette and her tea parties with other high nobility omegas.

They just exchanged greetings at the dining table most of the times.

His research was going smoothly and even Lucian would return to him after two months for a few days.

His brothers had visited him once in these months and they were happy that their brother was really treated like the next empress from now only.

Irina was on her way to the coffee house once again. The king had assigned her a new mission to find some missing goods of their kingdom's merchants that were important to the king somehow.

It was shown that the last contact they had with the messanger was in Nymeria.

The situation of the merchants was not clear whether. No one knew if they were even alive or not.

After probing her father through some letters she came to know that they were a few hundreds years old magic stones that were infused with water magic, some of them even had ice magic.

It was obvious the ice magic stones were bought for her. So that while she practised her lightening with the principal, her ice affinity did not fall behind too much.

The king was really considerate of his daughter also considering that she was just an adopted kid.

Now that she knew that there were ice magic stones in the goods carriages it would be easy to locate them for her, afterall the people with the ice affinity could be counted in fingers in the whole Werewolf domain.

There were seven people other than her in the central domain right now who had ice affinities.

Five of them were professors at the academy while the other two were some rich merchants of unknown origin.

Since it was a risk of she took more time to find the ice magic stone that was precious and only a few had been found over decades.

If she consumed the ice stone of the size that her father had told her, her rank would increase steadily and her control over her ice magic would improve.

It was the function typical of a magic stone.

Finding mages that could use teleportation skill and detect them were very few and expensive. She could not cause trouble for her father later.

One of her aides could detect the magic sense and the direction of the magic used.

Thus they followed the magic sense to the direction and were able to come out of the central domain in front of a suspicious looking building.

It was most likely an abandoned house. They decided to observe from far first and then make their move.

The lights in the house were on and there were noises of people talking coming from inside.

Irina signalled one of her aides to go near the house and hear what they were talking about.

Also to find about any traps that could be laid outside the house.

They held their breaths as the aide avoided some traps he had triggered unintentionally.

This probably meant that the house had traps all around it. They would most likely follow through the path the aide had taken as they had already seen the traps.

After some time the aide returned. It seemed like they were the ones who had looted the caravan of their merchants.

They were talking about what to do with the loot and did not know what was inside probably.

There were just a few experts and one master with them. It seemed like they had activated a teleportation array and had ended up here.

The merchants of the caravan were all being held up inside the house.

The ones responsible for this loot were just as clueless as they could be about the treasure they had obtained.

It worked in favour of Irina. Before the ones inside got alert. They had to take action.

It was not difficult since the for aides that Irina had brought with her were all masters.

Their rank was better than the ones they were dealing with. So it was all over in just a few minutes.

The rescued merchants thanked the princess for saving them and as a sign of their goodwill left all the goods that were supposed to come to her eventually were given to her before planned.

But the problem right now was how would she return to the academy when she had followed the trail outside the central domain.
