Chapter Ten 10: The Plan

Kael smiled as he stood up, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Excellent," he said again, his voice dripping with pleasure. "I knew you'd see things my way, Dorian."

Dorian nodded, trying to look confident despite the doubts that were creeping into his mind. What had he just agreed to? And what kind of trouble was he getting himself into?

As Kael began to outline the plan, Dorian listened intently, trying to absorb every detail. They would need to infiltrate a heavily guarded mansion on the outskirts of the city, avoid the security systems and guards, and retrieve the artifact without getting caught.

"It won't be easy," Kael said, his voice serious. "But I have faith in you, Dorian. You have the skills and the abilities to pull this off."

Dorian nodded, feeling a surge of determination. He would do this. He would prove himself to Kael and to himself.

As they discussed the plan, Dorian couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This was it. This was the adventure he had been waiting for.

But as the night wore on, Dorian began to feel a sense of unease. What if they got caught? What if something went wrong?

Kael seemed to sense his doubts, and he leaned in closer. "Don't worry, Dorian," he said. "I've got your back. We'll do this together, and we'll come out on top."

Dorian nodded, feeling a sense of reassurance. He trusted Kael, or at least, he thought he did.

As the plan was finalized, Dorian felt a sense of anticipation building up inside him. This was it. This was the moment of truth.

They would do this tonight, under the cover of darkness. They would sneak into the mansion, retrieve the artifact, and get out without getting caught.

It sounded simple enough, but Dorian knew better. Nothing was ever simple when it came to missions like this.

As they prepared to leave, Dorian felt a sense of focus wash over him. He was ready. He was ready to do this.
