Shocking Everyone with the Wolf King's Head

"You should dismantle the wolves you killed. The three of you killed quite a lot so they're important proofs if you want to increase your rank. I'll get the Wolf King's corpse and the others I killed," I say.

They don't know how to dismantle monster corpses so I help them with my experience. I have dismantled a lot I even destroyed many of my dismantling knives in the past. Then I decided to go to a dungeon where I could get the dismantling knife with infinity durability, at least in the game, and I don't have to worry about the knife getting destroyed again.

Though even if the durability is great, the knife is only sharp enough to cut through corpses and it's not sharp enough to use in battle. Unless I want to use it for defense. But I use longsword mainly anyway so it's just for dismantling purpose.

"Uuh… I don't like being in this bloody mess," Cornelia says while she's dismantling a wolf's corpse.

"The only way out of this is to ignore it if you don't care about achievement. Or maybe you can hire a carrier. They should be able to carry your baggage and help with the dismantling," I say.

"Maybe you should find one for the clan in the future. Even if you don't plan on just killing monster, having a carrier who can dismantle monster corpses should be useful," Cornelia says.

Oh, right! I never thought of it before. Because I can keep everything in my Storage Ring. But that's an interesting idea.

I guess I should find a carrier to join my clan. A carrier/dismantler. If it's someone who is great at both, that would be nice.

"You're going to make a clan?" Anne asks.

"That's the plan. Though we're still lacking members," Cornelia says.

Then she told them that it's my plan to create a clan and she's willing to join because she can let Julian stay in my clan as a helper perhaps. She wants a place where Julian can stay.

"You're going to make a clan? Let me join!" Melly says.

"Me too! Being in a clan with friends seems fun," Anne says.

These two already interested in joining? That's good to know.

"I only have one rule for now for the members I'm going to recruit. They have to be taught by me and obey me. My teaching is unlike what any teacher or instructor ever teaches you so it will be different and it could be difficult. If you're still willing to join you can ask for my teaching next time Cornelia wants to learn from me," I say.

Whether they will come or not will be up to them. And they can ask Cornelia first how my teaching will be. Though teaching Cornelia shouldn't be as hard as teaching those with talent in combat.

For combat, they need more experience rather than knowledge. But for mages, they need knowledge first to learn about magic. That's why it will be harder for these two because my training will be focused on strengthening them.

"Oh, there will be competition among our grades, right? How about we all train under Miro first and see if it will work in the competition? Then you can see if his training will work or not," Cornelia suggests.

That's actually a good idea. Well, I doubt they will ask for my teaching right away today. It's time for us to return.

We return to Dahlia normally. By walking. Not sliding. They don't need to know yet what I can do. It will be a surprise for them.

In the guild I look at Sabine and give her a sign that something big happened. Then I walk to her counter with Cornelia and the girls ignoring the others in the guild including Roland and his party who are somehow here. I guess even if he can't get promoted for a while he still needs money.

"Excuse me, something happened and I need to talk with the guildmaster. Is he in his office?" I ask.

"I'm actually here. What do you want this time? What kind of trouble did you bring today?"

The guildmaster just entered the building behind us and overheard me. I guess something did happen whenever I'm here.

"I'm not the one bringing in trouble. In fact I was never bringing trouble here. It's other people who did it instead. Also, I'm here because I ended a trouble and want to talk to you about it for a reward," I say.

"If you ended a trouble then it shouldn't be important. Just tell me right now what this is about," the guild master insists to get it done here quickly.

Well, I think that's a good idea. Revealing it here will increase my reputation and I will be trusted enough to lead a clan.

Then I bring the bag I purposely didn't put inside my Storage Ring. It's just a huge piece of cloth covering the head of the Wolf King. I open it in front of everyone and everyone can see the severed head of the Wolf King.

"It commanded other wolves to kill these girls but I killed it. Wolf King's head should be quite rewarding. I expect a huge reward for—"

"Come into my office! Right now! All of you involved in this!"

The guildmaster hurriedly covers the head of the Wolf King with the cloth before I could finish speaking and carries it with him to his office. I walk to his office with the three girls behind me.

"Tell me what happened. How did you encounter this monster?" the guildmaster asks.

"First of all, you need to remember to be respectful to me. I'm a B-rank adventurer for a reason. Even if something happened, it's not always because someone is trying to mess with me. Second, you can hear it from the girls. They're the first to encounter the Wolf King," I say.

The girls then talk about how they encountered it. They're on a mission and they were surrounded by wolves. I was nearby just in time to save them.

"…And Miroslav killed it with one slash?" the guildmaster asks the girls who explained everything.

"Two actually. The first one was to cut its paw. The second one was the finishing move," I say truthfully.

"…I apologize if I treated you wrongfully previously. No one expected you to be a powerful adventurer despite your rank. And every time we met, something bad always happened. You really deserve to be a B-rank adventurer," the guildmaster says.

"I'm here expecting reward and not to hear an apology. Even I'm aware that I don't look strong so in the future, the problems you expected will probably happen. There's nothing you can do to stop idiots. In fact, maybe some of them are already prepared to do something stupid down there in the lobby. As the guildmaster, you should hope that they won't be stupid enough to be killed by me," I say.

After the talk about the reward, I promised the girls to share them what they deserve. They managed to survive well and obeyed my command.

I have a lot of money already but there's nothing wrong about getting more.

Leaving his office, everyone is staring at us. I walk with confidence even though I'm afraid of them. Maybe I can be an actor if I can keep pretending to be tough like this.

The girls leave to the academy. They will be fine because their status as academy students protect them from dangerous people. If something happened to them and it's because of some idiots, the academy won't show any mercy in eliminating those idiots. Though that's only when they're still students. Once they're no longer students of the academy, the academy won't care.

As for me, it was as I had expected before. Some people were waiting for me to be alone and surround me.

"You killed a Wolf King alone? That's impossib… where is he?"

I already escaped using slip magic to slide away as fast as possible. There are too many of them. I never experienced a one against many battle when it's up against humans. It's wise to run away here.

If possible I want to kill them. But let's not cause any trouble here. I will live here for quite a long time after all. But once I created my own clan, there's no need to bow down to them. I will build my clan's reputation so that no weaklings would dare to mess with us.

Maybe it's time to recruit more people. Like Cornelia said, I think it's good to have a carrier. Then I will need some more people. Let's get some chefs and musicians while I'm at it. Good food is obvious. I want them. For musicians, it's just my selfishness to create a band. I'll teach them to use musical instrument from my previous world that doesn't exist yet in this world. I have created quite a bit of them while training.

Then let's think of the most important non-combatant members. One of them should be good in management so I don't have to take care of everything. Maybe some engineers so we can create something good. Engineers and alchemists. With my knowledge from the game and about my knowledge of my previous world, there are many things they can create.

So, management and production. Is there anything else?

I'll just ask the others later when I create the clan. Though I have some ideas of who I should try to recruit.

Before that I need to look for those that I know first. Natasha and Hal. I hope they are willing to join.
