## Hazel's POV
The morning sun slanted through my windshield as I navigated through the city traffic. My phone buzzed against the leather seat beside me. I glanced at it quickly—Sebastian. My heart did an unexpected flutter as I connected the call through my car's Bluetooth.
"Good morning again," his deep voice filled the car.
"Hi," I replied, trying to sound casual. "Everything okay?"
"More than okay. I wanted to hear your voice before my meeting."
His directness caught me off guard. Sebastian never played games, never hid behind vague texts or cryptic messages. It was both refreshing and terrifying.
"How are you feeling?" I asked, remembering his feverish state from the previous night. I'd stayed with him until his temperature had finally broken.
"Much better, thanks to you."
I felt my cheeks warm. "I didn't do anything special."
"You stayed," he said simply. "That means everything to me."
