## Hazel's POV

"You really didn't have to send that money," I said, holding my phone against my ear as I sorted through fabric swatches on my desk.

Sebastian chuckled on the other end. "Ten thousand yuan is nothing compared to seeing you smile."

"It was twenty dollars, Sebastian. Not ten thousand yuan."

"Exchange rates, inflation, boyfriend tax," he replied smoothly. "It all adds up."

I rolled my eyes despite the smile tugging at my lips. We'd only been officially dating for a few weeks, but Sebastian's generosity remained overwhelming.

"Are you working through the New Year holiday?" I asked, changing the subject.

His sigh crackled through the phone. "Unfortunately. Some issues with our Southeast Asian suppliers. Nothing I can't handle."

Guilt pricked at me. While I'd been playing cards with Vera, Sebastian was managing his empire. "I'm sorry. That must be exhausting."

"It's worth it if I can take you to dinner afterward."

"When do you get back to the city?"
