## Hazel's POV
I tucked my phone away, Sebastian's silence still ringing in my ears. The hurt in his voice left a hollow feeling in my chest that I couldn't ignore. I'd messed up by not telling him about today's meeting with Alistair.
"Problems with your new boyfriend?" Alistair asked, wheeling himself closer.
I shot him a cold look. "None of your business."
"It's that Sinclair guy, right? I've heard rumors about him." His tone was light, conversational, but I caught the undercurrent of jealousy.
"We're here to sign papers, not discuss my personal life," I said, keeping my voice flat. The receptionist called our number again, and I stepped forward. "Let's go."
Alistair followed in his wheelchair as we entered the notary's office. The room was small and brightly lit, with certificates framing the walls and a middle-aged woman sitting behind a large desk.
"Mr. Everett, Ms. Shaw, please take a seat," she said, gesturing to the chairs in front of her.
