## Hazel's POV
I stared at Sebastian in disbelief, my stomach churning at his revelation.
"Murder? The Everetts covered up a murder?" My voice came out as a whisper.
Sebastian nodded grimly. "Not just covered it up—they orchestrated it. The worker threatened to expose their unsafe practices and wage theft."
"Did Alistair know?" The question left my mouth before I could stop it.
"Our intelligence suggests he was aware of the cover-up, if not the initial order." Sebastian's jaw clenched. "That family's corruption runs deeper than I imagined."
I sank back against the leather seat, processing this new information. The Alistair I thought I knew would never be involved in something so heinous. But then again, the Alistair I thought I knew wouldn't have abandoned me for my stepsister.
"This isn't just about business rivalry anymore," Sebastian continued. "These people are dangerous, Hazel."
"You think he might try something?"
