## Hazel's POV
Sebastian took my coat and hung it carefully beside the door. "Make yourself comfortable. I'll go prepare your room."
As his footsteps disappeared up the stairs, I stood alone in the expansive living room, my heart hammering against my ribs. The reality of being in Sebastian's private sanctuary hit me all at once. I was staying the night at his lake house.
The moonlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting elongated shadows across the polished hardwood floor. I ran my fingers along the back of a sleek leather couch, trying to calm my nerves. This wasn't like me—staying at a man's house after such a short time dating. But Sebastian wasn't just any man.
I wandered to the window, gazing out at the silver-kissed lake. My reflection stared back at me—wide-eyed, flushed cheeks, unmistakable anticipation written across my face.
"Get it together, Hazel," I whispered to myself.
