A Desperate Late-Night Plea

## Hazel's POV

"I'll wait," Sebastian said, his voice deep with emotion. "But waiting doesn't mean I won't remind you what you're waiting for."

His words hung between us in the car, heavy with promise. I swallowed hard, struggling to maintain my composure.

"I need time," I whispered.

Sebastian's fingers finally closed the gap between us, his touch warm against my skin. "Time you shall have. But know this, Hazel Shaw—I am not a patient man by nature. For you, I'm making an exception."

The drive back to my apartment passed in comfortable silence. When we arrived, he walked me to the door, keeping a respectful distance that somehow felt more intimate than a touch.

"Goodnight, Hazel," he said, his eyes never leaving mine.

"Goodnight, Sebastian."

I watched from my window as his car pulled away, the taillights disappearing into the night. Something inside me ached at his absence, a feeling both foreign and familiar.
