An Old Rival's Scorn

## Hazel's POV

"Meet your family?" I nearly choked on my bite of tiramisu. Sebastian's suggestion had caught me completely off guard.

Sebastian's eyes crinkled with amusement at my reaction. "Too soon?"

I set down my fork, trying to gather my thoughts. "It's not that. It's just... everything's moving so fast."

The afternoon sun streamed through the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling windows, casting golden highlights across Sebastian's strong features. He leaned forward, his expression turning serious.

"I understand. But my family is important to me. They've been asking about you."

A flutter of nervous energy rippled through my stomach. "They've been asking about me? What have you told them?"

"Everything worth knowing," he replied with a small smile. "That you're brilliant, talented, and fierce."

I felt heat rise to my cheeks. "And that I start online fights at 3 AM?"

Sebastian laughed, the sound warm and rich. "That part I kept to myself."
