As Myra had promised to come to the party, Kanika and Ruan waited anxiously, wondering if she would really show up. Kanika kept glancing at the entrance, and Ruan finally said, "My mind says she won't come… but my heart says she will."
Ruan couldn't stop watching the door, hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
Suddenly, the lights went out.
A mysterious voice echoed through the room:
"Tonight is a party… so let's make it more interesting. Everyone, wear a mask. From this moment on, only friends and enemies are present. Let's see who can recognize their allies… and who their foes truly are."
The guests murmured in surprise as the masks were handed out.
Ruan was still staring toward the door when he suddenly turned—only to find Myra standing there, already watching him.
"I didn't think you'd actually come," Ruan said, stunned.
"I think you hoped I would," Myra replied with a faint smile.
As they spoke in low tones, Myra noticed Ayaan and Kanika approaching from the other side of the room. But before they could reach them, Ruan and Myra disappeared from the crowd.
They slipped away to a quiet corner of the mansion where no one was around. There, Myra asked Ruan for help with the hook on the back of her dress. As he helped her, the two ended up standing very close—too close.
Later, when Ruan returned to the party alone, Ayaan and Kanika questioned him.
"Who was the girl with you?" Ayaan asked.
"She's just a friend," Ruan replied casually. Then he smirked and added, "Let's make a bet. If I find her again, she's mine. But if you do… she's yours."
Ayaan, confident, said, "My girlfriend is way more gorgeous. But fine… challenge accepted."
Afterwards, Kanika turned to Ruan. "Who was she, really?"
Ruan leaned closer and whispered, "She was Myra."
With that, they both started searching for her in the crowd.
Meanwhile, Myra was calculating her next move. Her eyes scanned the room like a hunter picking the next target. And then… she noticed Ruan's mother quietly leaving the hall to go to the washroom.
A wicked glint passed through Myra's eyes.
She followed her silently and ambushed her there, pushing her into the water and leaving her soaked and humiliated. Myra quickly called Ruan, feigning panic.
"Your mom… she's in trouble! Come quickly!"
When Ruan rushed in, he found his mother disoriented and soaked. Myra stood beside her, pretending to be her savior. Mrs. Singhania, who was drunk, couldn't say anything coherent.
Later, when she returned to the party, Myra secretly slipped her the wrong medicine.
Within minutes, Mrs. Singhania lost control and created a huge scene in front of the media and guests. She screamed out personal details about her broken marriage—how she and Mr. Singhania were no longer in a good relationship. The crowd gasped, cameras clicked, and murmurs spread.
Mr. Singhania, trying to contain the situation, said, "My wife has been mentally unwell recently." He painted himself as the victim to salvage his image.
But deep in the crowd, watching silently, Myra smirked.
Her plan had worked.
And now…
She was already thinking about her next move.
What is she planning next?
Who will be her next target?
Let's find out in the next chapter…
