CHAPTER 05 : The Queen’s Mask

Myra had begun playing mind games with Ayaan—subtly, strategically. She made him fall for her charm and trust her blindly, exactly how she wanted.

One day, while Myra was at the office with Ruan, he teasingly said, "You were lucky that yesterday was a mask-themed party…"

But mid-sentence, he paused. His eyes narrowed as a realization hit him.

"Wait... it wasn't a mask party. That means—you were behind it. You planned it. And that guy with Mr. Singhania… who was he?"

Myra calmly replied, "He's the face I show to the world—my manager, Rajiv."

Ruan's expression changed to anger. "The one doing cheers with Mr. Singhania? That was him?"

Just then, Rajiv entered the office, walking in confidently and introducing himself to both Kanika and Ruan. Ruan, without saying much, stormed out. Kanika, concerned, followed him.

Once they were gone, Rajiv turned to Myra and smirked. "You'll make both brothers go mad for you."

Myra gave a cold, cunning smile. "The plan is already working."

Rajiv raised an eyebrow. "What plan? And why didn't I know about it?"

Still smiling, Myra walked towards him and said in a calm but chilling voice,

"This is Myra's circle… once someone enters it, there's no escape."

She then explained how she had subtly manipulated Ayaan by telling him:

"I don't want to be the girlfriend of a boy who's just living under his father's name. I want someone who makes his own identity. Don't just be Mr. Singhania's son—be Ayaan Singhania."

The next morning, Myra was working out when she received a video call from Ayaan.

He was dressed up and beaming.

"How do I look? I'm heading for an interview," he asked.

Myra smiled sweetly.

"You look so handsome… If you look any better, I'll have to lock you up, just so no one else can see you."

Ayaan chuckled. "Do you love me that much?"

She gave a soft, mysterious smile and said,

"You have no idea what my feelings are. And when you finally know… you won't need to ask."

Then she ended the call with a gentle, "All the best."

From behind, Rajiv clapped sarcastically.

"Wow. The Best Actress Award goes to… Miss Myra!"

They both laughed.

Later that day at the office, Ruan sat deep in thought. Myra's words and presence still lingered in his mind.

Kanika arrived and noticed. "Are you thinking about her? Myra?"

Ruan quickly denied it.

"Why would I think about her? Even if I dreamt of her, she'd probably be in all black—black dress, black car, black vibe."

He added jokingly, "She's like the monster moms tell their kids about to scare them to sleep—'Sleep, or Myra will come!'"

Suddenly, a familiar voice interrupted:

"And when you do sleep, you'll dream of me. It's said that if you read something beautiful before bed, you'll sleep peacefully."

It was Myra.

She handed him the first three chapters of her book, smiling slightly.

Just then, her phone rang.

She looked at the screen.

Unknown Caller.

Who was calling her?

Why now?

Let's find out in the next chapter…
