[14]. Ausbi’er Masters Instant Transmission

Little Nail returned to the Grand Elder's residence.

"Grand Elder, I'm back," Nail said in his usual low voice.

The Grand Elder sat in silence, studying Nail's expression carefully.

After a while, the old Namekian smiled faintly and said, "You're upset that I didn't unlock your potential, aren't you?"

"...No," Nail replied, eyes flickering.

The Grand Elder shook his head slightly. He knew exactly what Nail was thinking—he was frustrated, not with the Grand Elder, but with himself. Frustrated that he was too weak to protect Namek when danger would one day come knocking.

Without pressing the issue, the Grand Elder began sharing stories—tales of Namek's long history.

He spoke of the cataclysmic disaster that once nearly wiped out their people, forcing many to flee and scatter across the stars...

He moved on to speak of Namekian society—their reverence for nature, their peaceful ways. Even the warrior-type Namekians, despite their strength, weren't considered very powerful by galactic standards.

"There was once a prodigious warrior-type Namekian in our tribe," the Grand Elder said solemnly. "His name was Slug, and his power level surpassed ten million."

Nail's eyes widened in shock.

Even someone that strong couldn't defeat the enemy that loomed in the future?

The Grand Elder gave a deep sigh. He wasn't just reminiscing—he was guiding Nail.

He wanted him to understand that the Namekians had always avoided abusing the power of the Dragon Balls. Even during their most desperate moments, they chose not to use them recklessly. Their culture valued natural order and peace. Unless there was truly no other way, they wouldn't rely on such miracles.

And more importantly, the Namekians simply lacked the strength to confront the terror that was coming.

They would have to rely on outsiders—on people like kaso.

Nail silently lowered his head.

"kaso... I hope you won't let us down."

Since the Grand Elder believed kaso would be the one to save Namek's future, all they could do now was trust him.

With nothing more to say, Nail walked out the door and resumed his training.

He would do whatever he could—so that when the time came, he too could stand and fight for Namek.

The Grand Elder watched his retreating figure and fell deep into thought.

"Why has the future changed so much..."

Meanwhile,

kaso arrived back at the place where his spaceship had landed.

He looked back in the direction of the Grand Elder's home, then reached out, placed his hand on the ship—and in the next moment, focused his senses and used Instant Transmission to warp back toward Planet Yardrat.

A few days later.

"Huff… Huff…"

kaso lay sprawled on a rocky peak in the southern region of Yardrat, panting heavily.

His power level was only 12,000, and his sense of "Ki" was still underdeveloped. Over the past few days, he had used Instant Transmission hundreds of times across open space. Along the way, he had completely exhausted his energy multiple times, resting often just to recover enough to continue.

"Finally… I made it back to Yardrat."

Though exhausted, kaso still preferred this method over using a spaceship. It was far quicker—and the repeated use of Instant Transmission had also honed his sense for Ki. He was more sensitive to energy than ever before. If he ran into Nail again, he could probably locate him in less than a second.

Repeatedly draining his energy also pushed his body to adapt.

kaso's current power level: 12,500.

He looked up.

The Yardrat sky was a soft, dreamy violet, with wisps of purple clouds lazily drifting overhead. A gentle breeze blew past, adding to the celestial tranquility.

"I wonder how Little Ausbi'er is doing now."

kaso had been gone for months. He missed her deeply.

Back on Planet Vegeta, he'd never once left her side for this long. This trip had been necessary—but now, all he could think about was getting back to her.

He imagined her teary face upon waking up and not finding him there.

He grew anxious just thinking about it.

But… his energy hadn't fully recovered yet. He couldn't teleport just yet.

As time passed, kaso gradually regained enough Ki.

He didn't wait a second longer. The moment he was ready, he launched Instant Transmission.

Yardrat – Secret Technique Hall

A small girl sat cross-legged in front of a stone monument, her tiny brows furrowed tightly in concentration, as if wrestling with some life-or-death decision.

Suddenly—

Her eyes lit up with delight.

She raised her little hand and pressed two fingers against her forehead.

"There you are..."

In the next instant, her body vanished from sight.

Outside the hall.

kaso appeared in a flash of light.

He glanced at the two guards nearby and muttered to himself, "Just as I thought…"

He had long suspected that the guards stationed here were powerful—and from their energy, he could now tell they each had a power level of about 5,000.

Suddenly, a tiny figure appeared midair.

"Little Ausbi'er!"

kaso's eyes lit up. He rocketed upward and caught her in his arms.

"kaso-nii!!(big Brother)" Ausbi'er squealed with joy.

kaso hugged her soft little body tightly, inhaling her familiar scent.

"Ausbi'er…" he whispered, resting his chin gently atop her head.

"kaso-nii, not so tight!" she mumbled, her face flushed. "I can't breathe…"

kaso quickly let go, embarrassed. But then it hit him.

"You… you learned Instant Transmission?!"

He had clearly seen her appear out of thin air, not fly over. That had to mean she had mastered the technique.

But... wasn't that a bit too fast?

By his count, she had only been training for eleven months.

Apparently, he wasn't the only one shocked. The two guards standing by the hall were practically slack-jawed.

They had never seen talent like this before.

First, that kaso kid had learned Instant Transmission in just six months—and now this little girl, not even a year in, had done it too?!

In all of Yardratian history, only a handful of true prodigies had ever mastered the technique in such a short time.

"I… I only know a little!" Ausbi'er said shyly, eyes glancing to the side.

She explained that she could only teleport over short distances, and even then, the technique sometimes failed.

Even so, kaso was floored.

Clearly, Ausbi'er's lack of experience and relatively low power level were holding her back. Her control over Ki wasn't refined yet. But her instinct for the technique was incredible.

kaso figured—Goku probably didn't do much better than this early on either.

"kaso-nii… I'm hungry." Ausbi'er's cheeks reddened as she mumbled.

kaso chuckled, ruffling her hair. "Alright. Let's find something to eat."

"Yay!" she smiled, nodding excitedly.

The two of them soon left Yardrat and flew to a nearby wild planet teeming with dangerous beasts.

Even the average animal here was the size of a tiger.

Before long, kaso had taken down a giant stag. He cleaned it and set it over a fire to roast.

Ausbi'er sat beside him, her head tilted.

"kaso-nii, where did you go all these months? I didn't see you when I woke up…"

kaso smiled and began recounting everything that had happened since he left.

When he got to the part about little Nail, Ausbi'er immediately pouted. "That Nail is such a little jerk!"

When he described the summoning of the Eternal Dragon, her eyes sparkled with wonder.

He shared nearly everything—except the part about his third wish being rejected by Porunga. He glossed over that unexpected moment.

"kaso-nii… next time, can I go with you to unlock my potential too?" she said softly. "I want to get stronger… so I can protect you."

kaso paused, then smiled warmly. "Alright. Whatever Little Ausbi'er wants… I'll make it happen."

"Ehehe~ kaso-nii, you're the best."

She clung to his arm and stared eagerly at the sizzling meat on the fire.
