[22]. A Punch for Frieza

The battlefield quickly descended into chaos.

Nearly every Great Ape was surrounded by dozens of Frieza Force soldiers.

Boom! Boom!

Energy blasts flew in all directions. The homes of the Saiyans were hit by the stray blasts—those lucky enough suffered only structural collapse, while the unlucky were reduced to ashes, completely obliterated.

The once-prosperous royal capital was now a wasteland of rubble and ruin.

"Attack them all!"

"Charge!!"

The alien soldiers surrounding the Great Apes began their assault.

Blasts of energy exploded against the Saiyans' colossal forms.

Boom! Boom!

Massive explosions erupted like miniature suns, lighting up the entire battlefield. Thick smoke engulfed the Great Apes.

"We did it!!" the aliens shouted in excitement.

They thought the giant apes looked scary, but in the end, they didn't seem that tough.

Suddenly—

"What the—?!"

"Look!!"

"No way!!"

As the smoke cleared, the Great Apes stood unharmed—not a scratch on them.

ROAR!!

Enraged, the giant Saiyans let out deafening howls, grabbing massive chunks of rock and hurling them in all directions.

"This isn't possible!!" one alien screamed in panic—only to be stomped into pulp a moment later.

Several other unlucky soldiers were crushed by falling debris, their bodies torn apart in a scene too gruesome to describe.

But the rampage was only just beginning.

The Great Apes began to charge up laser blasts in their mouths—just like the one Ausbi'er had used when she transformed back then.

From Kaso's previous struggle with Ausbi'er, it was already clear: these apes were nearly impossible to handle without overwhelming strength.

BOOM! BOOM!

Hundreds of mouth-blasts rained down like meteors. The alien soldiers couldn't react in time—many were obliterated on the spot, reduced to nothing by the sheer heat and force of the beams.

"NOOOO!!"

In less than fifteen minutes, the battlefield was nearly empty. Over two-thirds of Frieza's troops had been wiped out.

The survivors finally realized something was terribly wrong.

"How are these monkeys this powerful?!"

They scrambled to scan the Great Apes with their scouters.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Battle Power: 23,000

Battle Power: 15,000

...

Battle Power: 80,000

A string of terrifying numbers appeared on their displays.

Each and every Great Ape had astronomical power levels—most ranged from 10,000 to 50,000!

What the hell?!

Weren't Saiyans supposed to max out at a few thousand at best? This didn't make sense!

But the aliens didn't know what Frieza had kept secret:

When a Saiyan transforms into a Great Ape, their power multiplies by ten.

And that lack of knowledge... cost them dearly.

May the aliens rest in peace.

In the skies above—

"Lord Frieza, these monkeys are terrifying when they transform!" Dodoria trembled.

He had bullied Saiyans for years, knowing their strength was mediocre. But now that they had transformed, their power levels had skyrocketed—and Dodoria was clearly afraid.

"Hmph… So the Saiyans do have some backbone after all. It seems I made the right decision," Frieza said calmly, resting his chin on one hand as he coldly observed the battle below.

He had always known about the Saiyans' ability to transform—but he didn't expect them to cause this much damage. A rare miscalculation.

Frieza didn't seem the least bit concerned about his fallen troops.

Dodoria glanced at him from the corner of his eye. Frieza's expression remained eerily calm—as if the lives lost were nothing more than garbage swept away by the wind.

"Lord Frieza, if this continues, all our men will be dead," Dodoria finally spoke up, unable to stomach the scene any longer.

Now that the Saiyans had transformed, their powers were exceeding 10,000—and some even approached 100,000.

Among Frieza's elites, only Captain Ginyu had a power level exceeding 120,000.

If even 10,000 was enough to dominate a star system… then how could the average grunt hope to fight?

"…Are you questioning me?" Frieza's eyes narrowed, glowing like those of a venomous snake.

Chilling and venomous, his gaze alone made Dodoria shudder.

"N-No, of course not!"

Dodoria broke into cold sweat. He knew Frieza's temper well.

"Ugh, this is boring…" Frieza yawned theatrically. "Fine, I'll handle it myself—"

Zzt!

In that very moment, a figure appeared in front of him.

"Yo. And who might you be?"

Frieza was startled. He hadn't noticed the boy's arrival at all.

But being supremely confident in his own strength, Frieza wasn't afraid—just intrigued.

"You must be Frieza. I've got a piece of advice for you."

This was Kaso's first time seeing Frieza in the flesh. The villain's appearance was exactly like the anime—vile, cold, and unmistakably dangerous.

"Oh? And what sort of advice do you have for me?" Frieza's fake civility dropped slightly.

This mysterious boy's tone annoyed him. His usual elegant demeanor vanished, replaced by a flash of irritation.

No one had dared to talk down to Frieza before—except perhaps King Vegeta, who was currently fighting for his life below.

Does this brat have a death wish? Frieza thought, wanting to see what the kid would try.

"My advice… is this!"

WHAM!

With lightning speed, Kaso used Instant Transmission and appeared right in front of Frieza—throwing a full-power punch straight into his face.

BANG!

Frieza's eyes widened in disbelief. His mouth twisted. A red bruise formed on his cheek, the skin slightly torn.

Zzt!

By the time Frieza recovered from the shock, Kaso had already vanished.

"WHO ARE YOU?!" Frieza bellowed.

A terrifying pressure exploded outward—Battle Power: 530,000.

The sky trembled. The surrounding ships were tossed about. The already-thin atmosphere of Planet Vegeta ruptured into pockets of vacuum.

Dodoria stood frozen, terrified. Is Lord Frieza going to wipe us all out just to vent his rage…?

Zzzzzzt—BOOM!

Frieza's fury disrupted the ionic field around them, crackling into arcs of electricity that danced like silver snakes.

"UNFORGIVABLE!!"

Another roar erupted from Frieza's throat. His eyes swept every direction, desperately searching for Kaso.

But the boy had vanished—just as mysteriously as he appeared.

"Where is he?!"

He was gone.

Frieza's expression darkened. That kid… looked like a Saiyan.

Was he one of them? A Saiyan?!

Frieza gritted his teeth, veins bulging, eyes bloodshot. He wanted nothing more than to tear that mysterious boy limb from limb.
