Planet Fe'er, an extremely distant world from Planet Vegeta. Even with the most advanced spacecraft in Frieza's fleet, it would still take half a month of full-speed flight to reach it.
The sky here was green, with a dense forest nearby and an expansive plain in the distance.
At the edge where forest met plain, more than a hundred figures had gathered. Each of them had a tail wrapped around their waist.
"Captain, everyone's been transferred," said kast.
Bardock nodded. Over the past ten days, thanks to Kaso's nightly efforts, all his subordinates and their families had finally been relocated to Planet Fe'er.
He was familiar with this planet—he'd passed through here on a mission years ago. But he hadn't imagined Kaso would be able to use Instant Transmission to bring so many people here.
What an incredible technique...
"Lord Bardock, is it really true that Frieza intends to destroy Planet Vegeta?"
"Is it really going to happen?"
Although they'd already been told once before, Bardock's men still wanted to hear it confirmed again.
Seeing their worried expressions, Bardock furrowed his brow and gave a heavy nod.
"Sigh…"
With the truth confirmed, a collective sigh rippled through the group.
Even someone like Bardock, who could hold his own in battle, would have no chance against Frieza. Revenge was impossible.
They were the last hope of the Saiyan race now.
Gine approached, carrying the exhausted Ausbi'er in her arms. "Where's Kaso? I don't see him."
"He went back to Planet Vegeta again," Bardock replied, giving Ausbi'er's head a gentle pat.
He wasn't sure what Kaso could still be doing there. According to the timeline, today was the day Frieza was expected to arrive.
Planet Vegeta must already be in flames by now...
But since Kaso had Instant Transmission, Bardock wasn't overly worried.
Clearly, Gine understood this too and didn't seem particularly concerned.
…
In orbit above Planet Vegeta.
"Thank you for your understanding, Lord Frieza!"
King Vegeta, unaware of the looks Frieza's subordinates were giving each other, actually thought Frieza had been fooled.
What an idiot, he thought. How did someone like him become emperor of the universe?
He really believed he'd pulled the wool over Frieza's eyes.
"Hahaha, I've always been tolerant of my subordinates," Frieza said, his stiff facial muscles twitching into a cold, creepy smile. "As long as they don't harbor ill intentions. Isn't that right, King Vegeta?"
"Y-Yes! Exactly!" King Vegeta wiped the sweat from his brow.
What does he mean by that?
Has he noticed something? That's impossible. We Saiyans have been hiding our movements so well…
King Vegeta had long been covertly defying Frieza's orders, secretly expanding his own forces. He planned to one day overthrow Frieza's rule, just as the Saiyans had done to the Tuffles before.
But what he didn't realize was that Frieza had already tapped into their scouters and intercepted everything.
Even if the Saiyans hadn't planned rebellion, Frieza had still decided to wipe them out—because this was an order from Lord Beerus himself.
"As long as we understand each other, that's good."
Frieza folded his arms, spinning slowly in his hover pod to face away from King Vegeta.
The metal of the pod gleamed coldly, completely concealing Frieza's expression. His silent back made King Vegeta's heart pound with unease.
Something terrible was about to happen.
"King Vegeta… would you like to see the universe's most beautiful fireworks?"
Frieza's voice came calmly without turning around.
What did he mean by that?
Something's wrong!
King Vegeta's instincts screamed in alarm.
Frieza's dormant energy suddenly exploded outward, disrupting the very atmosphere. Oxygen was instantly sucked out of the air, causing King Vegeta and the Saiyans to choke for breath.
"Retreat!!"
King Vegeta had finally realized what was happening. Frieza was about to strike. The "fireworks" he mentioned—was the destruction of Planet Vegeta itself!
Of course, none of them realized: despite being in the upper atmosphere, they were still breathing fine.
This was thanks to a wish Kaso had made on Namek—to allow Saiyans to survive in the vacuum of space.
The oxygen deprivation was psychological, born of fear from Frieza's overwhelming presence.
King Vegeta led his warriors back to the surface. Only once his feet touched the ground did he feel the slightest relief.
"Frieza! What are you doing?!"
He no longer feigned civility and roared his name in anger.
"Attack!!"
High above, Frieza watched his lips move but didn't care to listen.
With a flick of his hand, he gave the order.
Half of Frieza's forces surged forward to attack, while the rest scattered across the planet to block any attempts at escape.
"Dodoria, has the Ginyu Force taken position?" Frieza asked, his voice ice-cold.
"Yes, Lord Frieza! They've surrounded the perimeter of Planet Vegeta. Not a single Saiyan will escape," Dodoria replied with reverent excitement.
So the Ginyu Force had already been stationed outside the planet, sealing off every escape route.
"Very good."
…
On the ground of Planet Vegeta.
"You've forced my hand!"
King Vegeta's rage boiled over. Did Frieza really think the Saiyans were that easy to crush?!
Gathering a sphere of energy in his palm, he shaped it into a glowing ball the size of a basketball—and hurled it into the sky.
"All of you—look up!"
The assembled Saiyans instantly understood.
They had long resented Frieza. They had simply waited for King Vegeta to make the first move.
And now, that moment had come.
They raised their heads, eyes locked on the artificial moon floating overhead.
Thump thump thump!!
A deafening chorus of heartbeats echoed through the area—not from just one or two Saiyans, but from over two thousand warriors, all in sync.
A primal resonance began to build.
Thump-thump, thump-thump!
Wrinkles spread across their faces. Muscles bulged. Fangs extended. Their eyes glowed blood-red.
"ROAAAR!!"
Their human forms rapidly mutated—massive, hulking shapes overtook them as their bodies exploded in size.
Their battle armor expanded with them.
Within seconds, every Saiyan on the ground had transformed into a Great Ape.
"ROAAAAR!!"
They beat their chests and howled at the sky.
"FRIEZA! COME DOWN AND FACE US!!"
King Vegeta's roar, in his towering ape form, echoed across the landscape.
Several of his most loyal subordinates stood beside him, also transformed but still lucid.
In contrast, Frieza's underlings fearlessly charged in—undeterred by the overwhelming sight of an army of giant apes.
