"This gravity chamber is huge… can it be turned into a capsule?" Kaso asked, eyes gleaming with excitement. The chamber was amazing—but how would he take something this massive with him?
"That's a basic function. You don't need to worry about that," Dr. Brief said calmly, a flash of brilliance in his eyes behind his black-rimmed glasses. "Would you like to test it out for yourself?"
He could barely contain his anticipation—he wanted to hear Kaso's thoughts on the music system he had painstakingly installed.
"Sure!" Kaso nodded, already itching to try it.
He knew all too well how effective gravity training could be. After Vegeta settled on Earth, he practically lived inside a gravity chamber, constantly pushing himself to stay on Goku's heels. That was largely thanks to the gravity chamber Dr. Brief had built.
Dr. Brief gave him a quick rundown of the controls. Kaso understood everything easily.
He pushed open the door.
The inside was stark and minimalistic—an empty, reinforced training room. In one corner, though, was a strange round device that looked like some kind of console.
"Huh. I wonder what that does?"
Kaso didn't think too hard about it. He was way too excited to test the gravity.
"Increase gravity to 25 times normal."
With that calm command, the chamber shuddered to life.
WOOOOMMMM…
The entire gravity chamber vibrated like a beast awakening from slumber. Then—
WHAM!
The air thickened. A crushing weight descended on Kaso, pressing down on every inch of his body.
Good thing he had already adapted to 25x gravity while training in the Heavenly Realm.
Even so, his limbs felt sluggish. He could feel the pressure not only in his muscles—but in his organs. His bones creaked, and his lungs worked harder for air.
"Yup. Just as I thought."
Weighted clothes only taxed the body externally. But a gravity chamber—it trained everything. Even his heart and lungs.
Suddenly—
BANG!
A box in the corner erupted with sound.
"Who's there?!"
Kaso jolted so hard he fell flat on the floor. The gravity hadn't knocked him down—but that sound system sure did.
From the corner blared a chaotic tune:
"You are my little apple, I'll never get tired of loving you!"
"Dr. Brief, you bastard!"
He didn't even have to guess—this was 100% that crazy doctor's doing.
He should've known something was up. Dr. Brief's smug look earlier wasn't for nothing.
"Cancel gravity!" Kaso groaned.
The crushing weight lifted instantly. His whole body felt like it could float. And yet, even in that short session, Kaso felt his strength shift ever so slightly.
Saiyan physiology really is broken.
Though his power had already been unlocked by Guru on Namek, this month of Heavenly Realm training had primed his body once again. Under the chamber's pressure, that dormant potential was being squeezed out at rapid speed.
Still, he didn't believe gravity chambers were some ultimate cheat code. If they were, Vegeta would've surpassed Goku long ago.
Outside, Dr. Brief stood watching the sealed chamber, humming proudly to himself.
"Bet the kid's loving that soundtrack…"
"Kaso-gege's coming out!" Ausbi'er clapped her hands excitedly.
Everyone turned to look.
The door creaked open. Kaso stepped out with a complicated expression.
"So? Pretty amazing music system, right?" Dr. Brief grinned.
He was sure of it. No warrior could train without good tunes.
Kaso said nothing, his face unreadable.
Dr. Brief took that silence as the highest praise.
Sometimes, words weren't needed.
He basked in a wave of self-satisfaction.
Kaso: "..."
His soul was screaming.
After a long pause—
"…Thank you, Dr. Brief," he said sincerely.
The prank was annoying, sure. But the gravity chamber itself? It was priceless.
He hadn't done much to deserve it either. Sure, he'd helped retrieve a few stolen capsules—but compared to this…
The value wasn't even on the same scale.
Suddenly—
"Hey!" Bulma bounded over and threw her arm over Kaso's shoulder. "So? Isn't my dad's gravity chamber awesome?"
"It is," Kaso said honestly.
He could feel that even a short session had helped his body break through a small barrier. The chamber's effects were real.
But… what was this girl up to?
"Well then—my dad built that amazing machine for you. So you should teach me how to fly!" Bulma declared with bright eyes.
Kaso blinked.
Flying had totally blown her mind. She'd never heard of anyone soaring through the air without tech before.
But Kaso wasn't responding.
Was he refusing?
So rude!
Then she got another idea—there was another person who could fly: the cute big sister Ausbi'er.
Bulma scampered over and grabbed Ausbi'er's hand. "Pretty please, Ausbi'er-jiejie(big sister), will you teach me how to fly?"
If she learned how, she could be the coolest girl in school!
Just thinking about it made her giddy.
Tights: "..."
She couldn't even pretend to be surprised. Bulma was always scheming.
Kaso let them be.
Instead, he turned to Dr. Brief. "Can you help me pack the gravity chamber into capsule form?"
There was no way to teleport something that massive with Instant Transmission.
Good thing Capsule Corp's tech was up to the task.
With the chamber packed into a capsule, he could now easily bring it back to Planet Sadala.
Later, Kaso glanced over—
And saw Ausbi'er and Bulma chatting like old friends, laughing and playing.
Tights gave him a helpless shrug.
Kaso: "…"
Ausbi'er.
What was she doing?
Ausbi'er turned to Bulma. "Want to go flying with me?"
Bulma's eyes sparkled. "Really?! Please do!"
She had always wanted to know what it felt like to fly freely in the sky.
"Fine," Ausbi'er huffed, puffing up her cheeks like a little grandma. "Guess I'll take my little sister out for a spin."
She'd just acknowledged Bulma as her new playmate—might as well take her for a ride.
Even though she was still a kid herself.
Kaso and Tights: "..."
Kaso was speechless.
Was his Ausbi'er… possessed or something?
Then he saw her puffed-up cheeks, the way she tried to act all mature—it was honestly adorable. His heart melted on the spot.
Whoosh!
The two tiny girls—each barely over a meter tall—shot into the air together, soaring over the West City skyline.
