Don’t go…

The Shattering Gate

Chapter: "Don't Go…"

"Keep Mo Yan away from me!"

Yu Sui's voice thundered through the smoke-filled sky.

"Take him far from here!"

But before anyone could react

SHHHING...!!

Master Shen Jichuan lunged forward, his blade flashing with righteous fury.

Yu Sui's instincts took over.

He raised his hand,

and with it

a surge of dark, cursed energy burst forth in a roaring wave.

"No!!"

Yu Sui screamed as he struck,

not by choice,

but by survival.

The darkness hit Shen Jichuan like a storm of shadows.

Gasps echoed across the field.

And then came the whispers

sharp as knives, cruel as fate.

"Mo Yan brought him here…"

"He's the reason this monster lives…"

"He sided with the devil!"

Yu Sui's heart shattered.

Each word was a dagger.

He turned, his eyes blazing with grief and rage.

"Stop blaming him!"

He charged.

Again, blades clashed.

This time

Shen Jichuan met Yu Sui head-on.

The sound of swords clanging was drowned only by Mo Yan's weakened voice:

"Stop... please... Yu... enough..."

Blood spilled from his lips.

His body trembled.

He collapsed to his knees.

His vision....fading to black.

---

Shen Jichuan growled.

"If you truly want Mo to live…

You must return

To where your soul came from."

Yu Sui froze.

His sword trembled in his grip.

His eyes turned to Mo Yan

who now lay slumped in blood,

his breaths shallow,

his eyes… half-lidded, glassy.

"Mo…"

A crack tore through his chest

not physical,

but spiritual.

He knew what he had to do.

Even if it meant losing everything.

He dropped his sword.

Closed his eyes.

And whispered the cursed chant:

"Black gate, break the heart.

Spirits, drag the soul.

Shatter the heart

and collapse."

---

CRACK...!!

The very air split open.

A dark gate

surrounded by swirling energy,

opened in the space above the battlefield.

Yu Sui was lifted, slowly,

floating before the rift.

His robes fluttered in the wind.

His hair, dark and wild,

whipped around his face like a storm.

He looked down.

At Mo Yan

the boy he loved,

the boy who smiled even when beaten,

the boy who crossed borders for him.

Their eyes met.

The moment froze.

Time stopped.

Mo Yan:

"No…! Yu...

Please—don't!

Don't go…

Don't leave me!"

Yu Sui's lips trembled.

His voice cracked

"If I stay… you'll die."

Mo reached out,

weak fingers clawing at the air.

"Then die with me…"

"Let's go together…"

Yu Sui's eyes welled.

"You idiot… that's exactly why I must live."

And with a breath

He turned.

He disappeared into the gate.

The portal shattered behind him.

Mo Yan collapsed.

The battlefield was silent.

Only the faint echo remained.

"Don't go…"
