The argument between Duie and Su Nian had the whole group laughing. The two bickered like a pet dog and cat, snarling over every little thing. The others found their squabble more amusing than annoying....laughing at their antics while also trying to pull them apart.
At the front of the group, Lao Duan and his companions walked ahead, maintaining some distance.
But behind them, there was a strange silence between Mo Yan and Yu Sui.....a silence sharper than a blade. Neither of them knew what was going on in the other's heart. And it was this very unknowing that was gnawing at Yu Sui from the inside.
He enjoyed Mo Yan's presence, yet a lingering question tugged at his mind.....why did Mo Yan always follow him? Yu Sui knew one thing for sure: wherever he went, Mo Yan would follow. But why, he had no answer.
So he simply walked beside him, silent, his thoughts hidden.
And Mo Yan....he walked as if in reverence, as though silently worshipping a deity beside him. Yet he too did not know what truly resided in Yu Sui's heart.
Earlier, Yu Sui had secretly brought along a bottle of wine

Students were strictly forbidden from drinking, and Mo Yan was well aware of this rule.
But because it was Yu Sui.....he didn't mind at all.
Even if Yu Sui had one day decided to end the world, Mo Yan would have stood beside him, without a single question.
That was the nature of their love.
A love where loyalty was never abused. A bond so deep that they knew....whatever came their way, they would always stand together.
Meanwhile, Duie, utterly fed up with Su Nian, stormed off and dragged Yu Sui along to catch fish. He was hungry and couldn't deal with the noise anymore.
Yu Sui didn't resist. He followed, but his eyes kept flicking back....always toward Mo Yan. It was as if he couldn't bear to be away from him, not even for a few steps.
Seeing Duie and Yu Sui head off toward the riverbank, the others followed....including Mo Yan, quietly turning in their direction.
But Lao Duan did not.
He silently walked away in another direction, toward a separate stream.
