🕯️ Verdale City – Rooftop, 2:18 AM
The wind howled against the cracked antennas and broken glass of the rooftop. Neon lights flickered in the distance, painting the city below in red and blue. But up here, in the cold silence of the night, danger breathed closer than ever.
Liana crouched behind a rusted AC unit, hands steady, heart anything but. Her comms crackled.
— "Status?" Daniel's voice buzzed, tense.
— "They're here," she whispered back. "Three snipers. One on the north crane. Two covering the east stairwell. This isn't random. They were waiting."
A pause.
— "Then… they know," Daniel muttered.
She nodded to herself. "Yeah. They know everything."
Her tablet screen blinked. An intercepted message, decrypted just seconds ago:
> "Priority Alert: Specter engaged. Targets Liana Morgan and Daniel. Kill order confirmed. No survivors."
Her fingers tightened around her pistol.
The game had changed.

💀 Unknown Location – Syndicate Black Room
Surveillance monitors glowed. A dozen faces watched in silence as Specter—clad in tactical black, mask gleaming like polished bone—loaded the final round into his rifle.
A voice, synthetic and merciless, spoke over the speakers.
— "Specter. New directive. Morgan must not escape. Her father's secrets cannot be exposed. Terminate. Extreme prejudice."
Specter said nothing.
No questions.
No hesitation.
Just the sound of metal locking into place... and footsteps fading into the void.

🔥 Back to the Rooftop
Liana moved like a shadow, slipping between cover. Her eyes scanned the horizon. There—red glare. Scope reflection.
"Gotcha," she hissed.
Bang.
Her suppressed shot dropped the sniper before he even registered the glint of her barrel.
But then—whirring.
Drones. Two of them, circling fast. Heat-seeking.
Daniel's voice exploded in her earpiece. — "Move! They're locking onto you!"
Too late.
FWOOOOM—
An explosion ripped through the rooftop as a missile hit the AC unit she was hiding behind. She was thrown back, glass slicing into her arm.
— "Liana!" Daniel roared.
Coughing, bleeding, she rolled behind a concrete barrier, adrenaline drowning the pain. — "I'm… I'm good. Barely."
But as she tried to get up… a shadow moved.
A figure.
Not just any figure.
Him.
Specter.
Silent as death, walking toward her through the smoke—calm, unhurried, like a predator who knew the prey had nowhere left to run.
She raised her gun—two shots. Head. Chest.
Both deflected.
Armor.
Specter tilted his head, mechanical breathing echoing. Then… he moved.
Fast.
Too fast.
A blur of black. Her gun was knocked from her hands. A brutal punch to her ribs. She felt something crack. Another strike sent her sprawling to the floor.
— "Liana—Liana, come in!" Daniel screamed. "I'm on my way!"
But the voice felt distant. Her vision blurred.
Specter knelt over her, knife glinting.
His voice, distorted and hollow, finally broke the silence.
— "You should not have come back."
The blade pressed against her throat.
This was it.
Or… was it?
Because then—a gunshot.
Not from Specter.
From behind.
BANG!
Specter staggered back. Sparks flew from his shoulder.
A figure stood at the rooftop's edge. Silhouette against the rising fire.
Leather jacket. Sniper rifle.
A smirk.
— "Miss me?"
Nova.
Liana's former partner. Thought dead. Lost two years ago in the Cairo mission.
But there she was.
Alive.
And armed.
— "Get up, Li," Nova called, reloading. "We're not done yet."
Specter turned, assessing. Calculating.
Then… for the first time… he retreated. Melting back into the shadows.
---
🩸 Silence. Aftermath.
Liana coughed, wiping blood from her mouth. Nova knelt beside her, offering a hand.
— "Easy. You've looked better."
Liana grinned despite the pain. — "You're supposed to be dead."
— "Yeah, well… death's overrated."
Daniel's voice burst through. — "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!"
Liana glanced at Nova, then up at the sky where the drones disappeared.
Her voice was hoarse but firm.
— "Game's changed, Danny. Nova's back."
Nova smiled, cocking her rifle. — "And baby... I've got a score to settle."

⚠️ Final Scene – Syndicate Command
A fist slammed into the table. Monitors flashed red.
A deep voice growled. — "Specter failed."
Another voice answered, colder. — "No. He was... interrupted."
Silence.
Then a third voice, sharper, more dangerous.
— "Activate Omega Protocol."
Alarms blared.
> "Target all assets. No survivors. No mercy."
