Chapter 33: Desert Tyrant!

On a forested path near Cerulean City, Ash rode swiftly on Suicune's back. It was eight in the morning.

Two hours ago, within Ash's Tsukuyomi, Senbei had experienced something horrifying.

He was terrified beyond words, his face contorted in sheer panic. After Team Rocket's annihilation, a thunderous roar erupted—echoing through the air, reaching both Ash and Suicune.

"It's awake? System, display the data!"

Ash's eyes narrowed as he watched the tank burst open and the massive figure emerge. He immediately activated the system.

Ding!

Name: Tyranitar

Level: Late Champion Stage

Ability: Sand Stream, Unnerve

Type: Rock / Dark

Potential: 100% (78% Developed)

"Roooaaar!!!"

A towering green figure burst from the experimental tank. Dinosaur-like in shape, its powerful tail swung behind it, radiating the aura of a true tyrant.

Ash's Sharingan locked onto Tyranitar. Within its body, black Unnerve genes clashed against the original green cells. A faint smirk tugged at Ash's lips.

"So those black strands are the Unnerve genes. Not bad…"

Tyranitar scanned the wreckage—corpses and wounded grunts from Team Rocket littered the area. A flicker of satisfaction crossed its eyes. Who wouldn't feel rage after being captured and turned into an experiment?

Then Tyranitar spotted them—Ash and Suicune.

It immediately recognized Suicune as a Legendary Pokémon. The divine aura emanating from Suicune was proof enough—it wielded the power of nature's laws.

Ash remained calm under Tyranitar's gaze.

"It's noticed me," he thought, his Sharingan meeting Tyranitar's eyes.

He didn't flinch.

Tyranitar's temper was infamous. Most humans or Pokémon couldn't withstand its pressure. Seeing that Ash didn't falter, Tyranitar's fury ignited. Its green tail shimmered with a metallic glow—Iron Tail.

Tyranitar wasn't attacking out of strategy. It simply wanted to vent—another human standing before it, and one riding a Legendary? Rage surged.

Bang!!!

Ash didn't move—not from fear, but because Suicune had already intercepted the blow, stepping between them and blocking Tyranitar's Iron Tail with ease.

Ash gave a small smile, understanding Suicune's intent. The Legendary Pokémon wanted to protect him—and hoped Ash would capture Tyranitar before Team Rocket got another chance.

"Is that so? I don't mind testing your strength…"

Rooooar!!!

Blocked by Suicune, Tyranitar went berserk. Its energy surged, and a brilliant orange beam began gathering at its mouth—Hyper Beam!

"Suicune, Mirror Coat!" Ash commanded immediately.

Suicune obeyed, conjuring a shimmering blue barrier that enveloped its body.

What Ash didn't notice was that, at that very moment, his own strength took a leap. From Late Quasi-Elite, his level soared to Late Elite, a result of the spiritual resonance triggered by the Sharingan and his deepening battle experience.

A trainer's level isn't just about skill—it's about the heart, the realm of the mind. The Sharingan, as a mirror of one's soul, had crystallized Ash's past life experience and knowledge into real-time growth.

Boom!!!

Bang!!!!!

Roooooar!!!

The Hyper Beam slammed into Suicune's Mirror Coat, causing spiderweb cracks to spread across the barrier—but it didn't shatter.

Astonishingly, Tyranitar, though slightly weaker in rank, had nearly overwhelmed Suicune's legendary defense. Its special attack prowess was nothing short of monstrous.

Infuriated by the failed attack, Tyranitar stomped the ground. The cavern trembled, rocks cascaded from the ceiling—

Earthquake!

"It's collapsing! Suicune, use Psychic!"

Suicune's emerald forehead jewel glowed brightly, enveloping itself and Ash in a telekinetic barrier. In a blink, they teleported upward, escaping the collapsing base.

Dust and debris fell behind them. The Rocket hideout had caved in.

But Tyranitar, of course, was unscathed by its own Earthquake.

Roar!!!

Emerging onto the surface, Tyranitar roared with fury. The ground rippled around it as sand burst forth—Sandstorm! A violent wind kicked up, swirling rocks and grit into a mini-cyclone.

"Sandstorm, huh? Judging by its strength, this thing's truly Champion-class."

"Suicune, use Aurora Beam!"

Suicune opened its mouth, gathering radiant multicolored energy and firing it directly into the storm.

The beam shot through the Sandstorm like a blade, dispersing it instantly. The brilliant blast continued onward, smashing directly into Tyranitar's chest.

Tyranitar staggered.

It had taken real damage.

"It's not over yet—Scald!"

Seeing that Tyranitar, though injured, still radiated fury, Ash didn't hesitate. He gave the command, and Suicune immediately unleashed a torrent of boiling water, slamming straight into Tyranitar's head.

Scald was no ordinary Water-type move.

Unlike Water Gun, Scald wasn't just pressurized water—it carried heat nearly as intense as fire, capable of causing burns. Its power in the hands of a high-level Water-type like Suicune could rival even Flamethrower.

"Roooaaar!!!"

Tyranitar bellowed in pain. As a Rock/Dark-type Pokémon, it was naturally weak to Water-type moves. And when the attack came from a Legendary Pokémon like Suicune—whose level surpassed its own—the effect was devastating.

Furious, Tyranitar brought its hands together. A dark sphere began forming between its claws, seething with black mist and dark energy.

It was Shadow Ball, a Ghost-type move often used by Pokémon with a dark affinity.

"Suicune, Bubble Beam!"

Ash countered immediately.

Suicune opened its mouth and released a stream of glimmering, multicolored bubbles. They spiraled forward, colliding with the incoming Shadow Ball mid-air.

Boom!!!

The two attacks met with a violent explosion, canceling each other out in a burst of light and smoke. Their powers were evenly matched—neither side gaining the upper hand.

Ash's eyes sparkled.

This wasn't just a wild Pokémon. This was a fierce, determined fighter. One worthy of his team.

"If I can train it properly… combine it with the secret techniques I've developed… then Tyranitar could become a true Desert Tyrant."

His ambition burned brighter.

This Tyranitar wasn't just strong. With the right guidance—it could become unstoppable.
