Chapter four: Strengthening this weak body.

After Iris finished registering her name for the test, she had only ten good coins left. The money were the allowance her mother gave her every month. The previous Long Xu lan usually kept the allowance since she rarely left the house because of fear of being mocked.

Iris decided to visit a pharmacy. While she was going through the racks of medicine and elixers, she came across a dirt covered rack that had the title 'Body strengthening'. It had lots of bottles filled with pills and from the dirt and dust on the rack, one could tell that people hardly checks it. It was not a surprise that people only focus on qi strengthening pills but of course Iris didn't care what others did.

"Do you want to buy pills dear customer?" An attendant asked looking at iris's clothes noting that it was a high grade quality in winter wood village, It was no wonder the attendant was so polite to her.

"Hmm....I want to buy some body strengthening pills" Iris said.

"Ah.....are you sure dear customer? People hardly buys it. It is said that when using this pills, the person will feel so much pain and the worst part is that, the moment you faint, the pills will loose it effects. It's sure an inhumane pill" the attendant said.

"I still want it" Iris said simply.

"Ah! Alright. One gold coin for five bottles" The attendant says nonchalantly.

"I'll take ten bottles" Iris says and handed the attendant two gold coins.

Iris watched as the attendant carelessly packs the pills like he couldn't wait to get rid of it.

"You need to empty these pills into your bath of hot water and let it dissolve before stepping into it. But make sure you don't faint and it will be very painful" The attendant advised.

"I'll keep that in mind" Iris answers calmly and wanted to leave only to be stopped by the attendant again.

"Do come back again sometime. Although these pills aren't high grade pills, but we sell the best low grade pills in the village. Remember to use these pills three times a day. Until the bath water changes colour, do not step out" the attendant advised again while Iris just nodded and left the pharmacy.
