In a future where hope has long been extinguished, Trunks the Earth's final defender falls to Cell's ambush.
With no one left to protect it, Earth spirals toward its darkest era.
Babidi, Dabura, Majin Buu, Cell Max, Broly, Frieza and King Cold, Zamasu, Moro…
Enemies from every timeline now converge, as if drawn by an invisible hand.
This is the most desperate timeline.
A world where all disasters arrive at once.
A future destined to collapse.
Yet, amidst the ruins, a soul awakens.
Levos, a man who reincarnated into this broken world, is determined to find a way to survive.
But fate has other plans.
His journey begins not as a hero, but as prey.
The moment he is absorbed by Cell, his life takes a turn no one could foresee.
What is his purpose?
Why has he been thrown into this collapsing timeline?
And what power sleeps within him?
This is not a story of blind domination.
It is a story of survival, of battles in the shadows, of outsmarting monsters far stronger than himself.
When all paths lead to destruction how will he rewrite destiny?
next time on dragon ball see how a reader wishes for his favourite fanfic to release 10 chapters a day
is the title a click bait because the Mc is not cell and neither was he absorbed by cell.
Set in a genuinely doomed timeline, this story leans hard into the chaos, and it works. The sheer number of villains might seem over-the-top at first glance, but the explanations behind their presence are surprisingly well thought out and add to the intrigue rather than break immersion. The protagonist stands out as clever and tactical, which is a welcome change of pace from the usual "wait for Goku" fallback. The pacing is fast, no doubt, but the story doesn't feel rushed. It moves with urgency rather than carelessness, which fits the tone of a collapsing world. Interestingly, despite the title, 26 chapters in and the main character still hasn’t actually become Cell. It’s a slow burn in that regard, but if handled well, it promises a compelling transformation arc. The writing quality is strong overall, engaging, clear, and respectful to the tone of Dragon Ball. That said, the protagonist’s frequent ogling of Bulma in later chapters does undercut the story’s tone; it comes off a bit excessive and out of place. Still, despite that hiccup, this fic shows real promise. Smart lead, strong setup, high stakes, well worth the read.
There are only a few dragon ball fics worth reading on this site. Each often have their own strong point but where this one surpasses them at is tension/buildup. None of the other db fics feel as hopeless/realistic and grime as your fic. It’s also very canon consistent, some of the development surprised me with how plausible they were, like **SPOILER** Goku not properly finishing frieza and king cold in the future timeline thus leading thus leading them to recover way earlier then in canon
I am proud to say I am the 2nd review to this book. Real great twist to the fanfic section. Haven’t seen anyone do a story of this timeline before. Feels slightly rushed but I probably would have done the same as the main character. All and all can’t wait for more!!!
Great so far, this is by far the most doomed timeline I have ever seen, not sure how the protagonist will get through it.
Yeah, I gave myself 5 stars. Of course I did, If you’re enjoying this, please leave a 5-star review! Be patient, the good stuff’s just getting started. No system, no instant power-ups, just pure struggle, planning, and a lot of hoping things don’t blow up in his face.

This fanfic offers a gripping and unique take on the Dragon Ball universe, set in a truly desperate and chaotic timeline. I appreciate how the story's grim and realistic tone creates a constant sense of struggle. The numerous villains, though initially overwhelming, are well-explained and add intrigue. The canon consistency is also a significant plus, with plausible developments that keep me guessing. The protagonist is a refreshing change, they're tactical and intelligent, relying on planning and grit over instant power-ups. This, combined with the fast-paced yet un-rushed plot, creates an urgent and compelling narrative that perfectly fits the collapsing world.
this is truly a hell mode dragon ball story and i am loving the desperate struggle to survive.
For having such a chaotic timeline it's doing quite well, I see steady progress in the plot, the truth surprises me With the story that there are, the timelines of each one is a disaster in most of them, but not in this one for now
Please oh please don’t drop this novel. This is great so far👍👍👍
