Trying to find out the murderer. (Final Part.)

"Did you bring something with the energy on it?" Lady Cloud Dreamer said as they stood before a stone table with markings on it. Elder Lee handed her the talisman, and she looked at it. "You were right. This energy is odd, and I have never seen it before." She said, looking at it for a while before placing it in the center of the table and taking a seat as she started to channel her Qi into the table. The weather began to deteriorate slowly, and rain started to fall. On the tallest mountain in the range, an ancient man with long eyebrows raised one eyebrow as he looked up at the middle-aged man speaking. "Ancestor?"

"Something is not right." Said the ancestor.

Lady Cloud Dreamers stone tablet started to shake and throw her back along with the others as cracks began to form spewing dark green eerie flames as Elder Lee tried to use his Qi to put it out only to have the flames move up his Qi, making him cut it off as it fell to the floor as a lightning bolt crashed down through the roof. Six floors above them, striking the table, making the building explode.

A massive fire broke out, with the sound of women screaming in pain as the green flames spread throughout the ruins of the building. People ran out of the building and formed outside as they watched the building burn. Elder Lee. His student watched from the outside, along with Lady Cloud Dreamer and her students, as a loud voice rang out. "What is the meaning of this?!" The middle-aged man said as he noticed four female students running out of the burning building. As he was about to put out the fire, the ancestor spoke. "Don't waste your time; Qi can not put these flames out." He said while he was sweating.

"Who brought this cursed Energy here?!" He yelled out, making Elder Lee walk forward. "I did, Grand Elder. I was asked to investigate a crime with supernatural elements. I found a black metallic energy that I had never felt before, hoping that Lady Cloud Dreamer could trace it, but then this happened." He said, bowing deeply. "Ancestor, do you know this energy?" The middle-aged man asked as the ancestor stroked his beard. "We will have to wait for me to know for sure, but let us pray that it isn't what I have read about." The old man said, grabbing prayer beads.

The fire finally went out an hour later, and twenty-five female students burned to death in this fire, making Lady Cloud Dreamer mourn the loss greatly as she blamed herself. On the ground floor lay the cracked table as the old man walked towards it and dropped to his knees. "I fear we have awakened a monster that dwells within the abyss." He said, shaking, making everyone look at a symbol on the ground. "What is it?" Asked Elder Lee, shaken by the fear he sees from the Grand Elder. "The crest of the Hollowmere." He said.

"So it's just some Sect, I will deal with them. As the Heavens are on my side." Hóng Wáng said, making the Grand Elder release his Qi, forcing him to his knees. "Little boy, know your place! The Hollowmeres are not something your pathetic talent or Qi can deal with! They belong to the first fourteen!" He yelled. Making him sigh as he leaned against a standing break wall, sliding down it.

"What are the first fourteen, Grand Elder?" Asked the middle-aged man. "The ancient text tells of the first fourteen families to have gained supernatural powers 50,000 years ago. Long before our people even built houses, long before nations rose. These fourteen families had dominion over the world. The Hollowmeres were one of them. After 25,000 years, a war broke out between the fourteen families. The war was led by two prominent families: the Yamoto family from what is now called Japan and the Hollowmeres, who were from what is now Germany. Each side had six families join them, and the conflict lasted for a thousand years, ultimately ending with the Hollowmeres winning as they slaughtered every family member on the opposing side. Awakened or not, they hunted their bloodline down to destruction." He said before taking a deep breath.

"They ruled the world up to almost five hundred years ago when the other six families started to grow fearful of them. So the six families ambushed the Hollowmere during a get-together, but that came at a price. One of the families was destroyed, while two more were nearly destroyed, having to be absorbed by two of the other three that had been damaged. There was a rumor that the next head of the Hollowmeres, a man called Lazarus, had been ambushed as he wasn't at the get-together, and the battlefield was destroyed, leaving no bodies of his attackers or his, so everyone assumed they died together. But from the looks of it, he lived. That night, it went from seven families to three. Well, not anymore, I guess." He said, taking out a small bottle of wine.

"The other three families withdrew from the world to lick their wounds and let the lesser powerful beings take over the world. But I fear the winds of change blowing, and the Hollowmeres shall rise again, and our Sect shall be the first on that bloody path." The Grand Elder said, taking a sip. But Hóng Wáng didn't like being looked down at as he spoke up. "Even if they are still alive, they would be weak in numbers; our Sect can crush them when they come, and I will take the head of the Leader." He said proudly, making the Grand Elder scuff at him. "The Hollowmeres have always been low in numbers, but they make up for it in sheer talent and ability. Lazarus alone could wipe out every Sect in China, boy, your pride will be the death of us all." The Grand Elder said, making Hóng Wáng roll his eyes. No power is greater than the heavenly Qi in his eyes; no nation is better than China in his eyes. He will not take anything the Grand Elder said as truth; he refuses to accept it.

"I always wondered something, though, when the other families raided the Hollowmeres village, the family fortune was never found. Like the village had been cleaned out, I wonder where that went, too; that is 50,000 years of wealth. It must be massive." He said before he started to float up as the middle-aged man spoke. "What can we do to earn the Hollowmeres' forgiveness?" He asked, making the Grand Elder look at him and think for a moment. "Sect Master Liang Zhiwei, if you want to please them, then offer them many women for them to torment and abuse. As the Hollowmere are cruel and unforgiving unless you give them something to entertain their cruelty, they will point that cruelty towards us. It's in their blood." The Grand Elder said.

"Those have to be nothing more than Legends, no one could be that powerful. The Heavens are fair and righteous; they wouldn't give other people powers that other people couldn't train for. The old man must be misled, Sect master. Let me put a force together from our Sect and the other Sects in China and meet this foreign enemy that comes to our land." Hóng Wáng said, and the Grand Elder just sighed. A fool that doesn't understand that the Hollowmere is older than any claim the Chinese people make on this land; they walked it before them. It wouldn't be wrong to say that the first fourteen are and will always be the rightful rules of the Earth.

"Do whatever you want, I am getting drunk and enjoying my last few days. I've heard that a strip club has opened up near here in the city. I never had the desire to see it, but now, with my life coming to an end, I may as well get the last out of my dick." He broke into hysterical laughter as he flew towards the city, as everyone watched. "Hóng Wáng, go to the other Sects and bring the news of this. I will call for a joint military action against this threat." The Sect master said, making Hóng Wáng smile and nod. That's how a Chinese person should be; we are the best and won't cower in front of a stupid legend.

"Sect master, please offer us to the Hollowmeres." The students of Lady Cloud Dreamer spoke up, prompting their master to respond. "No, girls, I can't let you. If anything, I should be the one." She said, making the girls smile. "We are the prettiest in the Sect. If our suffering can spare the Sect, then we will choose to do it." They said, making Hóng Wáng yell. "I won't allow it!" He snarled out. Making them look at him with disgust. "Very well, if we can solve this issue by offering you as a first choice, then I accept your request. But that doesn't mean I won't build an army just in case. So go now Hóng Wáng!" The Sect Master said, making him glare at the girls before flying off.

Let's pray those are all just stories, thought the Sect Master.
