a thorn in the flesh

The school cafeteria was noisy,

it buzzed with chatter as students poured in, trays clinking against the backdrop of laughter and debate.

Amidst the chaos, Abigail stood alone with her food tray in her hands, she hissed like a stray cat, watching from where she was, she looked like she had just come out from a battle field and she was out for trouble.

She felt hurt seeing YãRó and Deborah together, Again , jealousy filled her eyes as she watched them,

why couldn't he see her?

Why couldn't he love her?

She also deserved to be loved by him, but he didn't seem to acknowledge her presence at all

She was beautiful too,or even more beautiful than Debbie was,but he only had eyes for her.

She wasn't going to back down, she wasn't going to let Debbie take YãRó all to herself, she moved towards them and pushed her way through to seat between them, and dropped her tray of food on the table almost pushing Debbie off

"Hey" she turned smiling seductively at YãRó,

"Uhm, hi" YãRó's smile faded immediately and he felt choked,

Abigail giggled, raising her hands to touch his hair, it was really soft and curly, she could see Debbie's eyes lit with rage and she enjoyed it

"You're looking really sweet today YãRó, what's the secret"

this time moving in closer to inhale his scent

Debbie was staring at her quietly, she had never for once really liked Abigail, and it had gotten even worse when she started acting all clingy to YãRó, and she didn't like that one bit,

but she didn't have a choice than to tolerate her, they all lived in the same street, attended same school, to make it worse, they were in the same class.

"Abigail"

Debbie called out gently, standing up from the little space Abigail had pushed her to,with her hands folded

"we were having a conversation before you interrupted"

It wasn't news for Abigail, it wasn't the first time, she was already used to that information by now

A smile formed on Debbie's lips, wishing she could pull out the hair from Abigail's head, but she wasn't the type to fight over a man and no she wasn't going to, not now, not ever

"Oops,I'm sorry,but I am afraid he's mine now"

Abigail didn't even look at her,she held on close to YãRó arm now, sniffing his uniform like she was an hungry cat and wanted to take her fill

" Abigail, please stop"

YãRó pulled his arm free from her grip,he wasn't ready for this drama today again

"I'll see you later"he said to Debbie and walked away, leaving them both there in the school cafeteria.

Abigail stood up,with her fist folded like she was going to hurt her soon, she was same height as Debbie,a little slimer tho and had a really scary stare

" I know what you're on about" Debbie started ignoring the fact that she was panicking "and you still haven't given up, but I'm sorry, it won't work,"

she stared back into Abigail's eyes," just let him be, pls"

Abigail raised her brows, looked at her from her head to her toes then laughed, like she had just heard something really funny

"If there's anyone backing down, then it should be you!!"

She said with her fingers pointing towards Debbie's chest,

" Uhn?, I'm just asking for peace, please leave us alone"

Debbie knew she sounded ridiculous, she shouldn't be pleading when she could fight, but Abigail didn't look like someone she could compete with, neither did she look like she had plans on giving up,and she didn't have the strength to compete with her, she had gotten into several fights with her in the past and it wasn't a nice experience

She moved back, giving in to defeat, hands in the air, if that's what it would take to have peace, Abigail was a Thorn in her flesh

" Ohkay, ohkay".

Abigail hissed "that's more like it", moved back a little with an evil smile on her face ,then she turned and walked away

Debbie sighed heavily, she wasn't going to get herself involved in a love triangle, and Abigail wasn't the type to give up,it was crazy

And not one bit funny, she sighed heavily, relief rushing through her veins as she watched Abigail vanish from sight

She felt hurt now

Because she couldn't fight and YãRó had left her alone, he didn't even say anything, he didn't even stop Abigail from being clingy, he didn't stand for her. Again!!!

She felt hurt, and she knew she was on the loosing side.

Her legs felt weak now, and she felt hot tears roll down her cheeks

She turned around and left the cafeteria too, away from prying eyes

She needed somewhere to cry

Somewhere to think

She was tired of everything and it now felt like it wasn't worth it at this moment
