Chapter 91: Korrin's Choice

Korrin had never wanted power. He liked scrolls, bad jokes, and the occasional stolen nap. But when the sky above his school cracked open and a Blackglass Hunter fell through with blades made of forgotten law, he knew hiding wasn't an option.

The hunter called herself T'lena, and her words cut deeper than her swords.

"You were never worthy to learn," she sneered.

"I never wanted to be," Korrin said, rolling up his sleeves.

The battle ripped through memory wards and destabilized four classrooms. Korrin summoned seven useless spells before one stuck.

"Memory Reversal Loop."

It worked—too well.

T'lena forgot why she came. Forgot who she was. Then remembered in a burst of rage.

"YOU MADE ME NOTHING!"

"No," Korrin whispered. "I made you free."

And he sealed her in a prism of unspoken thoughts.

He collapsed after.

Woke up to Liss's voice on a memory-crystal.

"I'm proud of you, spell-boy."

He smiled.

"I guess I'm someone now."
