CHAPTER 15: Enjoyment 1

Lance was lying on the bed when Aidan entered. He looked at Aidan in confusion as it was still early. Aidan seemed to have read his thoughts and sat down saying," Just came home early. No addition, no substraction."

" Oh." Lance said calmly. He then saw a couple of leaves in Aidan's hair and sat as he extended his hand to remove them. Aidan turned to look at him.

" Were you running in the forest?" Lance asked teasingly.

" Yeah." Aidan said calmly. Lance lied down again not taking his answer seriously. Aidan grabbed Lance's left hand and carefully examined it. A black tulip mark appeared on Lance's wrist and suddenly disappeared. Aidan mentally sighed a sigh of relief.

" Thank God." He murmured under his breath.

" What are you doing?" Lance asked him sitting upright. He checked his wrist and then looked at Aidan.

" What were you doing?" He asked in confusion.

" Just looking." Aidan said standing up. He then saw a journal on the bed. It was the one Magda had left.

" Since when have you started having these kind of things?" Aidan said taking the journal from the bed as he flipped the papers only to find out that the journal was empty.

" It belongs to Magda." Lance said calmly.

" The one I will marry? "

" You're not wrong."

" Then, how do you have it?"

" We bumped into each other and she just dropped it,"

Aidan just tossed the journal on the bed, lying down to rest. He folded his arm to his head covering his eyes as he closed them. In not more than ten minutes, Lance tapped him waking him up.

" I have been thinking,... How many years have we been friends for?" Lance asked calmly. Aidan mentally rolled his eyes and chose to ignore him. He didn't want to answer that question. Lance tapped him again.

" Man, I'm really sleepy, I can't even talk right now." Aidan said lazily. Lance glanced at him and decided to let him be.This was the question he always ignored just like he ignored him when he asked if he knew him from the past five years. Lance hadn't forgot everything from the past five years. Some memories were just blurred, while other certain memories were just forgotten. Those included how his father had died.Lance rose from the bed and prepared himself to meet Magda. He just wore simple clothes as he didn't think much about this meeting.

Lynx entered the shadow master's palace. He wasn't there. After a few minutes of waiting, he appeared out of thin air to his throne. Lynx found this strange because originally, the shadow master never left his place. She greeted him.

" You found it?" He asked.

" I have." Lynx said offering the box. One of the pretty female servant there came and took it. She gave it to the master and he first examined it before opening it.

" Where there any other person there?" He asked after looking inside. Lynx wasn't clearly getting what he was asking. Whether it was the person who had arrived before them or the one who had accompanied her.

" Was there anybody other than you when you arrived?" He asked again. Lynx then thought of that guy.

" There was." She replied. She wasn't able to see her master's expression but she was able to tell that he was incredibly annoyed.

He took the stone in the box and tossed it on the ground, near Lynx's boots. She took a step backward. Suddenly the stone turned into an old man's body.

" Burn it." He said coldly to the servants. One servant bowed before walking to the corpse and lifting it up as if it was nothing and carried it out.

" That idiot know how to mess with me." The sentence was more directed more to himself than to Lynx.

" Next time you meet him, give him a painful death." He told Lynx who just bowed as a response. Who was she not to follow orders anyways?

" Bring him to me." That master said after a while.

" Pardon !" Lynx blurted out not getting the words, the shadow master had just said. He only looked at her with displeasure as one of the servants quickly told Lynx what he had just said to her.

" If you find him, you have to bring him to our master. Alive. Ignore the painful death thing." Lynx nodded towards the servant with a small smile as thanking her. Now she understood what the shadow master had meant.

" How did he expect me to understand that lame sentence?* She secretively wondering with a frown.

As Lance was getting out of the apartment building, he bumped into Raven.

The grocery's bag in Raven's hand fell down. They all quickly squated, picking the groceries up, putting them back in the bag which was in Lance's hand.

" Where are you going?" Raven asked him.

" Out." Lance replied.

"Good. If you come early, drop by my apartment. I need to tell you something." Raven told him calmly. Lance smiled thinking that she had chose to tell him what had happened five years ago.

" You really have took a good decision. " He said standing up handing the bag to Raven.

" Hmph, don't dance before the music is played." She said taking the bag as she smiled. Lance smiled back.

" Well, I will be back early. See ya." He told her as he walked away.

When he reached the restaurant, Magda was already there, he entered the restaurant and walked to her table.

" Hi." He greeted as he sat down.

" Hi." Magda replied with a genuine smile. Lance mentally frowned. He wasn't understanding the reason why he had to give the journal back to her in a restaurant. He then put the journal on the table.

" Thanks." Magda said taking the journal. A waiter came to take their orders. A sigh almost escaped from Lance's mouth. They chit chatted as they ate. At paying both of them wanted to pay but still in the end Lance paid and then he ended up paying for the girl's cab.

" Damn it." He cursed as he clenched his wallet in his hand. He then received a message from Raven.

_ Ain't home right now. Wanted 2 tell ya dat I've found you a job. Knock on my door at 8 sharp. You're welcome._

" Okay, fine." He murmured to himself. He had already found some part time jobs to do at night starting from the next day. Finding the one to do in the morning wasn't also a bad idea. He felt grateful and planned to thank her not in message but personally. He then rushed home.

" Let's go to a night club." Aidan told him as soon as he entered. Lance looked at him in confusion.

" Don't you have work tomorrow?"

" That doesn't matter."

" You pay."

" Mnn"

" Let's go!" Lance said cheerfully. It wasn't like he had any job to do so early in the morning and it also had been a long time since he last went there.
