CHAPTER 16: Enjoyment 2

The moment they entered the club, Aidan spread his arms in the air with closed eyes as he inhaled dramatically.

" I really missed this beautiful place." He said dramatically. Lance tilted his head towards him and then looked at the crowd of dancing people.

" Okay. I don't even know why I came." Lance murmured. He naturally didn't like night clubs but that didn't mean he hated them. When Aidan wanted someone to go to a night club with, he was always there. He would just go and sit in the corner , observing his friend and other people dancing. He would let him drink and get him home. That was his role. As always Lance went to sit in the corner with a simple drink. He then saw Lynx dancing and started looking around to see if he can spot on Raven. He didn't. He took a sip on his drink wondering why Raven wasn't there and continued observing the scene in front of him. A lady came and sat beside him with the same drink in her hand. Lance turned to look at her. It was Raven.

" Oh, hi." Lance greeted her with a smile.

" Hi." She replied taking a sip on her drink. Raven and Lynx had came to take care of the hudows in the area and after they were done, Lynx asked to stay and she was in no position to reject offer.

" Why are you not dancing?" Raven asked him. Lance glanced at her and then in front.

" I'm just good at observing." Lance replied taking another sip.

" I really don't like these kind of place. Loud, crowded,ugh. Really not likable." Raven's expression as she said this clearly showed that she didn't like the place. Lance scoffed.

In the crowd, Aidan and Lynx were dancing together. They weren't too close. There was some distance between them.

" I DIDN'T THINK YOU LIKE THIS KIND OF PLACE." Lance told Lynx in a high voice as the area was loud.

" WHO DOESN'T LIKE FUN??" Lynx replied with a smile.

Aidan gave a knowing smile.

" WE REALLY CAN BE FRIENDS."

" I THOUGHT WE WERE ALREADY FRIENDS! "

" DO YOU WANNA GRAB A DRINK?" Lynx asked.

" WHY NOT?!" Was the reply.

" They seem to be having fun." Lance said and Raven hummed as a reply." Oh," Lance said as he changed his sitting direction and looked at Raven.

" Thanks for the job."

" That? You're welcome. I'm just naturally good hearted. I would do that for anyone."

" Good for you;" There was a moment of silence.

" I really don't get how you are still able to live." Raven whispered to herself. These words were directed to Lance but after saying these words, she realized that these words could also be directed to her. She felt as if he was about to cry. Her past wasn't that bright. And her future;she didn't think it would also be bright.

" Excuse me." Lance said.

Raven shook her head with a small smile.

" I was talking to myself. Really..." Raven sniffed. Lance started wondering if she was drunk. He glanced at the drink in her hand. It wasn't strong to make someone drunk. Lance decided to answer the question.

" Life is life." He blurted out. Raven scoffed and then smiled.

" This guy.... What kind of answer is that?" Raven said carelessly.

" I asked a serious question, give me a serious answer." She added with a smile.

" Okay. In my opinion, I think, life is like a cloud. This sec it could be bright and another, it could be dark. It's just full of surprises." Lance then shifted his gaze to Raven who was attentively looking at him .

" So, what is your opinion?" He asked. Raven shrugged and took a sip of her drink.

" I don't know. It will take a long time for me to know the answer." She said with a small smile. " Now that I'm not the only one sitting here, I think the view is quite good. " She added. And then Aidan and Lynx slouched towards them. Aidan was supporting Lynx who was drunk. Lance seemed too suprised that Aidan wasn't drunk.

" You're not drunk?" He asked him as they were now standing to his side. Aidan then whispered to him," How can I be drunk when I'm with a lady?" Lance smiled at his friend with his eyes .

Raven then stood up and went to Aidan's and Lynx's side trying to take Lynx. Lynx just rejected her,clinging to Aidan.

" I don't want YOU!. I , want this friend of mine." She said pointing her index finger at them. After she said this , she held Aidan's arm and looked up to him.

" Right, Aidan?" She said cutely. Aidan couldn't help but smile and then nodded his head.

" Okay, Shall we go home?" Raven asked calmly.

" Let's go." Aidan said calmly.

On their way home, Aidan was standing on the left side with Lynx on his back while Lance was standing between Aidan and Raven.

" I didn't actually think Lynx could be such a bad drinker. Two shots; and she was already drunk." Aidan testified.

" It was her first time drinking." Raven said. It hadn't been long since Lynx came to the outside world and when she came,she had other worries other than drinking.

" You can't be serious!" Aidan said suprised.

" I really am serious. How can someone used to drinking be drunk from two shots?" Raven blurted out.

" Are you good at drinking?" Aidan asked.

" I am. But I don't like drinking."

"What kind of statement is that?" Aidan asked looking at Raven as they walked. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the guy who was standing a few meters ahead of them, facing them. His hands were in the pocket, long hair, handsome features, coldly staring at Aidan. It was Kai.

" Do you know him?" Lance asked him but Aidan didn't reply. Lance nudged him with his elbow. Aidan glanced at him.

" What?" Aidan asked. " Let's go." He added and they continued walking. After they have already passed past the man, Lance turned and looked at the man. He was still standing in the same position. He also turned and smiled at Lance. This smile made Lance feel goosebumps all over his body. He immediately turned.

" Are you okay?" Raven asked Lance as she saw his expression. Lance gave a small nod and turned again. The man wasn't there anymore. Raven also turned confused with Lance's action. She wanted to ask him again if he was okay but decided to keep quiet. Lance immediately turned to check on Aidan. He didn't seem to have any problem. But Lance was able to see through him and saw the anger in Aidan's eyes.

When they reached Raven's apartment, Aidan carried Lynx to the girl's room. After that Aidan and Lance went in their own apartment. Lance felt curious about that man who made Aidan angry.

" That guy we, when we were coming home..."

" He is my brother." Aidan immediately. He sighed." We were never on good terms since birth." He added. Lance smiled and held his shoulder.

" That's why I will be your trustworthy brother." Aidan smiled at him.
