Getting A Rank and the weird smithy .

We both made our way to the lounge and found some place to sit down waiting for when Tina is coming back .

I looked at the faces and the bodies of my soon to be fellow colleagues and was able to see they all shared one distinctive feature .

Wounds , they all have wounds in different places some had wounds on their arms others on their legs and some even had gruesome looking scars on their chests and some even had bandages covering their whole bodies like they were some kind of a mummy , and most of their equipments were shappy looking as if they weren't being maintained or changed in a long time .

Are you curious to know why they were like this ? .

Wasn't the Adventurer job being noted as a well paid job that could allow those who do it rish and stability , why are they so desperate looking ?.

Didn't i tell you before it is as you said a job that can allow the people who do it the ability to became filthy rich but at the presume of them being able to get those rishes .

Some of those guys you see are lower ranking Adventurers some of them don't even have a decent job with a decent attribute bonus that can enhance their strength after leveling up , so they can only either crawl under the legs of those who are stronger than them or try to join a party to see if they are lucky to find some treasure troves or be able to hunt some monsters .

And here come the cruel parts if those guys who made a party are weak yet was still able to find some good loot until they reach the Adventurer's guild and report document their gains they can be targeted by other adventurers who want to steal their gains and who also might be much stronger than they are and if they tried to resist or didn't want to hand their gains willingly , if they weren't able to escape they could all be slaughtered and being declared dead by the guild officials with no investigation or anything .

Cruel indeed , this Adventurer's guild is really nonchalant and has an uncaring attitude towards its members or their fates in general .

What is worse was that even your own teammates in the party could stab you in the back at any moment , so the only thing they can truly count on out there is their own strength , and since they are mostly weak to began with they are in a vicious cycle of being exploiting or being betrayed so they have less time to train their strength, less money to spend, less time to recover since you know the money they need to have to renew their Adventurer's guild membership so they don't have any other option but to be relentlessly trying to gain whatever meager amount as possible , some of these guys have families who are depending on them .

But why do they not just pay the fine you mentioned before and that way they can stay safe with their family and can be able find another job in a more secure environment than this .

It's not that easy kid , the fine is there to exempt you from joining the kingdom defense line against the monsters raid but it also exempt you from getting any help if a monster accidentally appear next to your living place and decided to go berserk, since you paid the fine you are left to fend for yourself and your family if a monster was to appear in your vicinity .

Quite a dirty trick , so they are either fighting for the kingdom or fighting for the Adventurer's guild so they can be strong enough to protect themselves by helping and contributing to the kingdom, this kingdom is really chaotic and tyrannical .

This whole world is in chaos that is something which we all can agree on but some of us Adventurers choose to try to mend some of the chaos in the world even if it was just by a tiny amount and some choose to do the opposite knowingly or unknowingly seeking more fame , more rishes , more power and in their relentless pursuit to achieve those things , they are also uncaring for what to befell the world because of the path they chose .

Sigh, i'm beginning to think of going back to the palace .

Yeah i can still be able to found my inn in Toron or even going all the way to Zoren , i heard the living expenses there were lower than the rest of the kingdom and it does have quite the sceneries but i unfortunately can't leave the capital legally .

Just like how most of the monsters in the raids are cannon fodder , they were sent to tire the defenses of the city, the lower ranking Adventurers are used in the same way to tire the monsters in the raid so that the main force which consist of those higher ranking Adventurers who can strike at the strongest monsters in the raid and push them back to the wicked forest .

And from your words earlier my F Rank just so happens to be on the lower side of the ranking .

Yes , the ranking of both the Adventurer's guild and on the battlefield is the same, higher ranking consist of Adventures with the ranks : E . D . C . B . A . S there are two special rank but till now they never appeared on the battlefield they are SS , SSS , the lower ranking Adventurers are all those that ranked under Rank E , the prince you said that you want to beat is rumored to be the only SSS ranker known to public in the whole kingdom .

Who was the genius who came with such a great plan , i blurted out these words sarcastically .

General Stellar Clovis , the kingdom's army commander and the right hand of the king and his plan was being strongly supported by the spear demon who is one of your fellow summoners the hero Yamada Nodie .

Oh that guy actually supported such cowardly tactics yet had such an imposing title that is so funny so did that Clovis said why he made such a good plan .

He actually did after the people who were mostly lower ranking Adventurers question the reason he made such a ridiculous plan do you know what he told them, he smugly smiled and said that they as lower ranking Adventurers can only be sacrificed to slow down the progress of the monsters until the good soldiers of the kingdom who are mostly higher ranking decide to move and save the day , that happened two years ago and in the span of that period , 4 monsters raids have occurred can you imagine the number of casualties , it isn't a war or a raid anymore it was a one-sided massacre .

As he finished talking i was able to see his face more clearly , he was gritting his teeth and looked as if he aged a few more years in just a few seconds i patted him on the shoulders and understood why he was worried because i was depraved from my rightful rank .

Thanks to the smart general i can tell that since i'm a lower ranking then i will be in the frontline but if i'm able to increase my strength before then i can rank up or at least be sure to overcome the monsters that come in my way with my own strength and it's not like a monsters raid is going to happen tomorrow or anything .

Yeah it's owner is a bit crazy but his products are decent and quite affordable .
