Luna was utterly disappointed, her heart long since shattered into a million pieces.

She regretted it now.

If she had left with their child without a second thought back when Vincent loved her most, would she be the one he was desperately missing right now?

As much as Luna hated to admit it.

But she knew that in this moment, she was insanely jealous of Stella.

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye.

My gunshot wound hadn't fully healed yet.

I couldn't let it get wet.

On rainy, overcast days, a dull ache would throb from the wound.

But my sister, Diana, took meticulous care of me.

Having just arrived in a new country, I was plagued by nightmares all night.

I dreamed I was back at that harbor, over and over again, forced to watch as Vincent ordered his men to throw my sister into the sea.

I would lunge forward like a madwoman, trying to save my sister or take her place.

But every time, I was a step too late.

Then I would jolt awake, drenched in a cold sweat.
