Chapter 6

Hours have passed, and the students of Acadia are going home. It was already late in the afternoon. Arliette said his farewell to Charles, while walking away.

He could feel the gaze of Kurowa, she was waiting at the front gate. She was using a disguise magic that would hide her presence.

Due to her high proficiency in magic, she was able to hide among the eyes of the people.

Only like Arliette or an Archmage equivalent would be able to see her. For example, an Archmage is capable of facing a Category 7 Void by itself.

Category 7, known as a Continental Destruction.

Category 6, Island Desolator

Category 5, City Devourer

Category 4, Nature's Wrath

Category 3, Skyhigh Eater

Category 2, Storm

Category 1, Destruction.

All Categories with their own designation level of danger, with Category 9 being the highest. The Extinction of Humanity, for the Category 8 to even exist is quite rare, since it took multiple Archmage's just to defeat a Category 8. For a Category 9 to appear, it's the end of the world.

'Using Category level 1-9 isn't bad, in my world it has the exact system of danger. Except, it went from Category 1 to 10. In my world, Category 10 means God's Wrath.

"Anyway, I should keep going." He muttered, while walking far enough from the school.

Kurowa appeared in front of Arliette. "The contract, I want to know what it is." Kurowa hesitated, but briefly accepted his offer.

"Alright, just follow me for now if you don't mind walking." He said. (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)

"No, I don't mind it. But for a man like you… never mind you're clearly a danger to everyone." She was blunt with her words, as she didn't use any formal tone.

"You're not scared anymore are you?"

"As a former Transcendent Mage, and a Regressor, I have already developed an immunity to your pressure." Kurowa added.

"Ah, that. Good luck with that, just hope you don't pass out the moment I go serious." He added, while walking with a carefree expression.

"If you don't mind asking, how did you know I regressed?"

"A simple question, it would be your soul managing to disrupt the flow of time and space, which of course I'm quite proficient at." He answered.

"And also, because your mana was going berserk, which is dangerous to say the least. Hence why, your past or present… your former self before the regression was affecting the Mana around the academy." He added, which surprised Kurowa she didn't expect a man like him already surpassed her in Theory, and even being able to see the disruption of time and space was enough to say that he was a higher level of being.

"Any more questions?"

"Yeah, why did you approach me? Why do you want a contract with me? With your power you can even make me submit easily."

"That's boring." (⁠⌐⁠■⁠-⁠■⁠) He was quick to answer, this just left Kurowa with more questions.

While walking, they reached the apartment complex. The home of Arliette.

"For a mage like you, you don't live in a mansion?"

"Why should I?"

"I… uh… good point." Kurowa was left baffled by his statement, but he did make a point.

"Well to answer that question, it's just because I don't have any money to begin with."

"Oh." Kurowa's eyebrows twitch in confusion.

'How come he doesn't have any money despite being so powerful.' She kept asking them in her mind, but she was afraid to offend Arliette.

Arliette doesn't even mind answering some of her questions. Since he is currently liking her current tone.

Arliette stepped inside the apartment, while Kurowa followed, the moment she stepped inside the apartment. Her entire mana was slowly being refilled, and the Mana was quite pure and refreshing.

"How come this apartment has such pure Mana?"

"Well magic refinement of course, I made it since it's now my home and of course the residents don't even know it. Unlike a Transcendent mage like you who can easily bypass my defenses easily." Arliette was proud of his work, since someone was able to actually see his art of Magic refinement and actually make an accurate assessment.

"Anyway, let's just hurry up for now." He offers his hand at Kurowa.

"What's this for?" She asked.

"You will know soon enough."

Kurowa reached out for his hand, the moment she grabbed them, she felt nauseous. She was about to vomit, until Arliette pressed his index finger on her forehead. "Cure." He chanted healing magic in an instant.

"Instant Cast!?" Kurowa was shocked, but her health was quickly healed by Arliette that quickly.

Kurowa pondered and she turned her head to look around. Her eyes shifted from one place to another. They were currently inside his Apartment room.

"Anyway, welcome to my home for now."

Kurowa nodded, and she took a seat from the couch. While Arliette then turns around, and removes his uniform this causes Kurowa to blush.

'How can he undress in front of a Woman!' She was surprised by his lack of common sense.

But to her surprise, she saw Arliette pull out his silicon body that is under his clothes, and after removing the silicon body he removes the Magic skin from his face.

Finally turning around, he was wearing a white T-shirt with his black pants still on. His face wasn't filled with freckles, but replaced with smooth skin, and with a perfect physique with muscles, a lean body that doesn't expose much of his muscle. His black hair, golden eyes accompanied by his eyeglass.

Kurowa couldn't help but blush. She didn't think that everything he had was a disguise. But she failed to notice a simple disguise that barely used any magic, and those were cosmetic.

"Wait, why are you using a disguise, despite being so handsome!?" She blurted out her own thoughts accidentally.

While Arliette couldn't help but hold his laughter. While he sat next to her on the couch, despite being a regressor she is still a healthy woman who wants a man's affection.

'Oh wait, in this case from my perspective of my world. She would be a man, watching a woman undress just to reveal that she was so beautiful like a model.' Arliette couldn't help, but to tease someone like her now.

"Why do you ask? Because my look keeps garnering attention, simple as that." He said, while he opens a space inventory and grabs a hot tea that was prepared in advance. He places them on the table that is front of them.

"A spatial manipulation, incredible…" Kurowa was amazed by such a large space inside his magic.

"If so, why do you hide yourself with your kind of power? You should be able to rise to the top with ease."

"Hmm, rather because I love this kind of life rather than going everywhere and putting everyone on some kind of a leash. I prefer something simple like this." He took a drink of his tea, and he was filled with warmth and the scent of the tea was appealing that could make him fall asleep if he wanted to.

"This is life."

Kurowa looks at him, and she grabs the tea and takes a sip. Her eyes were wide open, the smell was so appealing and the warmth it provided was enough to make her relax. Kurowa couldn't believe such tea existed, what's even more amazing was that a being like Arliette exists.

"This is good."

"Naturally, I made them. Anyhow for the contract, it's a simple contract I can provide you with multiple ways on how we can sign it."

"What do you mean by multiple ways?"

"Each contract has a different effect, let's just say the Elven way of contract. If we use that structure, we would be bound by our spirits, the moment we break the contract, your spirit will abandon your body and you won't be able to reincarnate anymore."

"Elven contract, that's quite a dangerous contract!" Kurowa was flabbergasted, an Elven contract was something she didn't expect to hear from him.

"Well yeah, there's also the Blood pact which of course if one of them failed to fulfill the contract, it would make one's body dissolve and turn into Mana."

"Then there's the natural contract with us signing it on paper. Which binds us together, if one of them breaks the contract they will suffer Mana's cripplement."

"Then lastly, my newly formed Magic contract that I created."

"That is?"

"Kiss of Unity."

"K-k-kiss!?" Kurowa blushed with his statement.

"Of course, just like what I created. Kiss of Unity is a contract that I made, by two people who would put their lips together to form a contract, however if one of them breaks the contract, the other one would suffer the biggest damage to all mankind."

"That is?" Kurowa gulped in fear.

"They shall be forced to say their most embarrassing moment in their life, while running around in the city screaming at the top of their lungs."

"Kurowa, now choose which one." (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

"I- Uh! Question!"

"Go on."

"What are the terms for the contract first, before I choose one?"

"Oh they're simple, be my assistant and never ever reveal to anyone that I am wearing a disguise, or anything related to me being a powerful mage, as long as we are bound by a contract this should be safe enough."

"Is that all?" Kurowa couldn't help but feel terrified, because of his carefree personality, he acts like an airhead but each statement he gives, was enough to make her soul tremble.

"Of course, I got nothing anyway and plus I'm bored as heck! Well considering I'm just being discreet for the time being." He added.

"I see, then I agree with the terms."

"Then for the contract?"

"K-Kiss of unity…" She stuttered on saying such a contract. Since she's a healthy young woman, who's still a virgin despite being a Regressor. She couldn't help but feel tempted by his offer.

"Daring are we?" He said with a smug face.

Kurowa couldn't help but cover her face in embarrassment.

"Since you're a healthy young woman, not counting the age of your regression, how old are you now if you count your regression."

"I would be 20 right now, but in my past life before I died I would be 30 already." She answered.

"I see, anyway, are you sure you want a kiss of Unity?"

Kurowa nodded.

"Are you sure, it's not because you haven't got a first kiss yet?"

Kurowa avoided his eyes.

"I'm guessing that's a yes."

"Alright! I'm still a healthy young woman! Of course I still need to take the opportunity to do something like this!" She shouted.

Arliette smiled, he already took a liking to her. The way she acts was hilarious for Arliette to think she was a bloodthirsty woman who is going to hunt for revenge, is now this cute of a young woman who hasn't touched a man.

Kurowa was still blushing, and avoiding his gaze.

Arliette took the initiative to keep teasing her, and place his arms in his face to force him to look at him.

He placed his head right next to her ear, and he whispered. "Now calm yourself Kurowa, we will now commence with the pact." He went back to look at her directly, while Kurowa was red like tomatoes, she couldn't help but feel excited.

'Oh my, to think she's so cute like that.'

"Then let us begin the pact…"

He grabs both of her hands, and interlocking with each other like holding them. This caused Kurowa to blush even further, she gazed right into his golden eyes, and she felt nervous.

The entire area was cold, she could see her own breath escaping from her mouth. It was something that she didn't expect to happen after she regressed.

"May I be blessed upon this world, may our unity be bonded together. For the pact shall be forged together, may you not expose me and my secrets and you shall not receive the punishment, may you accept my forge and forever we shall be together."

He slowly approached her face, her sweat dripping down from her face. She couldn't help but feel excited the more he approached her.

Her eyes were fixated on him, she couldn't avoid it any longer, their lips were close together. Until finally, the Kiss of unity has been forged.

Both of their lips met together, this lasted for 10 seconds, until finally being separated from their lips, while Kurowa couldn't handle such an experience coming from a handsome man.

But one thing is for sure, Kurowa is going to treasure this moment like this forever.

"Now it's over." He added, while moving away from her and sitting down on the couch normally.

"I feel heavy." She felt everything was going blurry.

"Just get some rest for now, of course! This is just a one time thing."

Kurowa felt saddened by that statement, until his eyes gaze at her once more.

"Unless you want to do it again?" He smiled wryly.

"I-u-"

"Of course that's a joke!"

A sudden disappointment emerges from her mind.

"Well not entirely a joke to say! If you could fulfill some of my tasks, well you might get a reward, better than a kiss if you say…" Arliette couldn't help it, as he was holding his laughter.

Kurowa blushed by that statement alone.

"Well free to stay here for the time being, since it's already late."

"Eh!?"

"You don't want to?"

"Then I won't refuse your offer anymore…" she was absolutely going mental inside her head, she couldn't help it, as the memory of them kissing together is now going to be vivid inside her mind forever.

"Oh yeah, if you attack me at night you will be punished." Arliette said, as he prepared some spare mattress for her to sleep.

'I'm going crazy!' Kurowa shouted in her mind. (⁠ ⁠≧⁠Д⁠≦⁠)

She didn't know that this was gonna be her love at first sight experience.

Arliette on the other hand was just smiling, knowing his life might be more livelier now.
