But, luck was always on his side. So much so that when he threw himself into a life of endless gambling and reckless bets-
“Heh~ another flawless victory. Thanks for the bonus- hm? What’s th-OH GOD!”
he got crushed by a falling airplane.
Now, somehow still lucky, he’s been chosen by the Outer Gods to save all of reality.
[Monsieur! Welcome to the afterlife! You have been chosen by the almighty gods to protect existence itself!]
“HUH?!”
