The sun was just beginning to rise, but Jin Seo-Won had already left Pavilion Seven under the cover of night.
Dressed in a plain gray robe and wearing a veil over his face, he walked the forest path that led to the outer cliffs—away from the eyes of instructors, students, and the ever-watchful clans.
> "No one should follow me,"
he murmured under his breath.
The system's map hovered faintly in his vision, glowing with a pulsing red mark.
> [Black Snow Valley – Hidden Entrance: 3 miles east of the Forgotten Shrine]
[Warning: This area is protected by ancient demonic remnants. Enter at your own risk.]
Branches cracked beneath his boots, and the sound of his breath grew louder as the fog around him thickened. The closer he got, the more unnatural the air became—stagnant, cold, and filled with whisper-like echoes.
> "This place was sealed for a reason."
But Seo-Won didn't hesitate.
He passed the Forgotten Shrine—an old ruin lost to time—and found the slope that led down to a jagged ravine. Frost covered the rocks. A thin layer of black snow crunched under his feet.

His surroundings darkened as if he had stepped into a different world. Crimson lightning flickered in the clouds above. The valley pulsed with ancient power, and in the distance… a dark gate stood tall between two fractured statues.
> "That must be it,"
Seo-Won whispered.
Just as he stepped forward—
A voice rang out from the mist.
> "You're either brave… or suicidal."
Seo-Won's body froze.
From behind a pillar, a figure emerged. A woman—tall, hooded, with eyes glowing faintly violet. Her robe bore no clan symbol, yet her presence felt immense.
> "No one comes here willingly," she said, drawing closer.
"And certainly not a child of the Heavenly Demon."
Seo-Won lowered his stance.
> "You're not part of the sect."
> "Neither are you," she countered. "Not truly."
The air between them turned tense.
But the woman didn't attack.
Instead, she stepped aside, gesturing toward the gate.
> "You've been marked by something… older than this valley."
> "If you make it back alive," she said softly, "we'll meet again."
Then she vanished into the fog.

Seo-Won approached the gate.
With a deep breath, he placed his palm against the cold surface. Symbols lit up—old, demonic runes long forgotten by modern martial artists.
> "Let's see what power you've been hiding…"
The gate creaked open.
Black snow whirled around him.
And Jin Seo-Won stepped inside.
