Kusho once sealed away a god, himself.
Now reborn as a quiet boy in the sleepy city of Montrosier, Kusho hides beneath a name, a face, and a past he no longer fully remembers. But the world has not forgotten him.
Between blooming friendships, buried powers, and lies planted like seeds, Kusho must walk the line between peace and destruction…
…before the flowers bloom in blood.
This story is honestly super cool. It starts off quiet and kind of mysterious, with Kusho, who is a powerful being, giving up everything just to live a normal human life. But even when he’s just going to school, weird stuff starts happening again, and you can tell he’s not going to stay “normal” for long. The vibes are a mix of chill slice-of-life and deep fantasy with gods, angels, and cool lore. There’s also this card system with flowers that’s super unique I really liked the characters too, especially Kusho (he’s cold but you can tell he cares), and Caelen who’s like the funny and reliable immortal friend. The worldbuilding is really interesting, but it doesn’t throw everything at you at once. It builds slowly, which I liked. The whole “Circle of Thorns” idea is super cool, and the writing has a quiet, poetic feeling to it without being hard to read. Definitely feels like the start of something bigger. I’d 100% keep reading.
This is a gem. Kusho is one of the best protagonists I’ve seen in a long time. Tragic, cold, gentle, and absolutely haunting. He’s a god who just wants to feel human again, and the story makes you ache for that wish. And talking about characters, Caelen, Renji , Seren, Yui and othersare deeply and potentially very well written they have their own symbolic arc, a balance to all of them. And the world building is just insane like it's just the start and it introduce a part of it, without fully explaining it. I really like the circle of thorn. I’ll follow this story all the way to the last flower.
Very Poetic and Moving Novel. Recommend if you are into complex stories, world, and systems, and if you like emotional, funny, realistic yet unreal characters.
Kusho is a very enjoyable character, a god to a human however he is forced to fight, again and again. I want to see what could happen later on. Thank you for those chapter, good read.
Daayuum this story is neatly well done tho a bit can be fixed like schedule upload and the overdoingof the writing quality tho everything is neat!
My name says it all, I don't know much about literature and writing. Even though I understand 40% of what's happening, I can tell that this is a very good story, a hidden gem, as other reviewers say. The world is very powerful, the writing is poetic, and the characters are like in a play, dropping awesome quotes like it's nothing. A lacklustre review, but you can refer to other intellectual reviews. As an illiterate, I can confidently say I'll be reading this to completion. (You better finish this one, Void.)
so after reading until chapter 7. i confidently say that this is just pure peak. i cant lie but like the characters quote and world building are flipping peak so underrated. tho the wording are way too much complex something awful and the names are quite strange. but its hood.
