After writing he had wanted to, Dae-jin sat for a while, gazing at the dark screen of his phone. Then he leaned back on the couch, resting his head against the backrest, and took a sip of the alcohol. If only he could finally understand what this whole thing was. The random telepathy and now Min-woo. Somehow, he felt as though every single event was just another unwelcome trial – one he had never signed up for. Just once, couldn't everything go the way he wanted it to? Was that really much to ask?
Then, all at once, he sat upright on the couch and turned the Tv down. He could have sworn he'd just heard knocking. The sound didn't come again right away, but then – there it was. A second knock was lighter than before.
He set the drink down, stood up and walked to the door with cautious steps. Peering through the peephole. He blinked once or twice before he could see the person standing in front of his apartment. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him.
Jae-hyun.
Dae-jin didn't want to but still unlocked the door. Didn't open it right away, though.
Jae-hyun just stood in the dim hallway, his shoulders were slightly hunched, and the hood of his jacket was pulled halfway back. He looked up and met Dae-jin's gaze.
- Can I come in? - he asked with a soft voice. - My mother kind of kicked me out.
For a moment Dae-jin didn't say anything. Then he just stepped aside without a word leading in the other man. As he closed the door he looked back at Jae-hyun seeing him kinda made him feel nervous.
- How did you find this place? - Dae-jin asked while he crossed his arm, he looked at Jae-hyun as if his very presence was offensive.
- I have my ways. - Jae-hyun replied, his voice was calm – too calm.
| I missed you..
- It's nonsense. Just leave me alone. - Dae-jin's voice shook a bit as he said that.
- I meant it . -Jae-hyun said with a bitter smile. - How could my own mind lie to you, anyway?
He paused for a beat. - If it helps…I know I'm not exactly a good person.
- There's no need to explain. - Dae-jin sighed, lowering himself back onto the couch. - I get it. I just don't want to deal with it.
He leaned back, rubbing his forehead.
- There's not much here. - he added with a sarcastic edge. - So either you drink water…or nothing.
- Water's fine. -he said, with a faint, almost grateful smile.
Dae-jin rolled his eyes but got up anyway, heading toward the kitchen. The tap creaked faintly as he filled a glass. Then he handed it over avoiding to look directly at him.
Jae-hyun took a slow sip, standing in awkward silence for a few seconds before speaking.
- So…-but as he was about to start Dae-jin broke his words.
- Why'd she kick you out this time?
Jae-hyun gave him a side glance.
Dae-jin raised his eyebrows a little.
- Let me guess. She caught you with someone again?
- We just had a fight. Nothing special. - he said it looking around in the house.
- Oh nothing special? - he repeated. - You mean like the last time?
Jae-hyun didn't respond.
- God. Do you even know what that felt like? - Dae-jin stood up suddenly. - You almost kissed me, and then your mother said you do this on a daily basis.
- It wasn't like that. - Jae-hyun said quickly.
- No? Then what was it, Jae-hyun? - Dae-jin's voice cracked. - Because it sure as hell felt like being used. In her house like I was some kind of homewrecker.
- I didn't know she'd come home. - Jae-hyun said quietly. - I panicked. I didn't mean to hurt you.
- But you did. - Dae-jin snapped, pointing at him. - And the worst part is I didn't even wanted this whole thing. You just got me into it. My life is a mess right now with you and Min-woo…
- Min..who?
Dae-jin huffed a bitter laugh and turned away, running a hand through his hair.
- Nothing special…-he replied.
Jae-hyun took a step forward.
- Wait…is there someone else?
Dae-jin spun around to face him, his eyes flashing.
- You don't have the position for asking that…
Jae-hyun stood there in silence, he didn't know what should he say.
- I…I thought maybe…I don't know. You were still angry, but –
- I was angry because you left me standing there like an idiot! - Dae-jin cut in.
- So now I'm competing with someone from your past? - Jae-hyun asked, his tone sharper than intended.
- How could you…right. Mind reading…
The room felt like it was holding its breath waiting for them to do anything. But somewhere between the silence and the steady pounding in his chest, Dae-jin realized: he didn't want to move.
Jae-hyun on the other hand wasn't like that. He stepped closer with slow movement and then grabbed Dae-jin's shoulder. For a flicker moment, the air, time – everything – stopped between them. Dae-jin tried to speak, but he couldn't. He just stared blankly at the man standing in front of him. Then, with a loose, quick move, Jae-hyun closed the distance between them.
Dae-jin's eyes immediately windened, and as soon as he regained his sense of realitly, he tried to resist – with more or less success. However, Jae-hyun wrapped his strong arms around him, not allowing him to move even an inch. As their lips met again and again, softer than ever before, Dae-jin began to give in. It was plesant, passionate. He found himself truly enjoying this kind of interaction between them.
One of Jae-hyun's hands slowly slid to his waist, bunching up the shirt he usually wore to bed. The sudden touch on his bare waist drove Dae-jin crazy too. Then something hard hit his back as they kept moving backward – something he hadn't even noticed. Now there was definitely no escape – the wall had trapped him. And not to mention the thoughts running through their minds, making the kiss even sweeter, even wilder.
| His hips against mine…is he actually trying to undress me?
| You're trembling… I fucking knew you wanted this.
| Don't let him….stop
| If you moan like that again when I touch you, I'm gonna lose It. Shit. How would you look on your knees for me right now?
| Why does being pinned like this turn me on? His tongue…fuck. So sweet.
| Your mouth opens so easily for me. I could do anything with you right now.
