An Uncomfortable Dinner

I couldn't believe what had just happened. First Julian cornering me, then Adrian bursting in like an avenging angel, and now Tristan glaring at me like I'd personally orchestrated the whole scene. The day couldn't possibly get worse.

"Did you plan this?" Tristan's voice was low and accusing, his eyes hard as granite.

"Plan what?" I shot back, still shaken from Julian's threats. "Being assaulted in your uncle's home?"

"Don't play innocent. Julian Bennett just happens to show up when you're alone?" He stepped closer, his large frame blocking my path to the door. "Quite convenient timing."

I crossed my arms defensively. "You think I wanted that? That I somehow lured him here?"

"I don't know what game you're playing, but—"

The sound of footsteps approaching cut him off. Camille appeared in the doorway, her blonde hair perfectly styled as always. Leo trailed behind her, his small face lighting up when he spotted me.
