Chapter 5: Mother's Protection

Just when I was on the brink of despair, my mother finally arrived.

Her hand tightly gripped the door of the operating room, insisting on rushing in despite the doctors' and nurses' attempts to stop her.

"No, ma'am, you can't go in."

"This is our operating room! If you enter, you will bear legal responsibility!"

But despite the constant persuasion and obstruction from those doctors and nurses, my mother directly brushed them all aside.

She angrily pushed everyone away.

"Shut up, all of you, shut up!"

"My daughter is lying on the operating bed, why can't I go in?"

As soon as I saw my mother, I burst into tears.

I cried out, "Mom, save me!"

"I don't want the surgery!"

"Nathan forced me! I want a divorce!"

My mother ignored all the violent resistance, rushing over and throwing herself on me, protecting me tightly.

Tears filled her eyes.

"Mom knows, mom knows everything."

Mom hugged me, her voice choked, "Don't worry, as long as you don't want to, no one will force you."
