"It doesn't mean anything, Mr. Grant." My tone was as businesslike as possible.

"I only signed a labor contract with Grant Group, not a life-binding agreement, so changes are normal."

Caleb Grant was silent for a moment on the other end of the phone, then said through gritted teeth:

"I'll talk to HR tomorrow and have you come back."

It was rare for Caleb Grant to concede, but I wasn't moved at all.

"There's no need, really no need." I laughed it off, "Doing so would disrupt the company's system, which wouldn't be good."

"Besides, I've already found a new job in M Country, once the visa is ready I'll move there." I didn't even know what the job in M Country looked like, but at this moment, I just wanted to use it as an excuse to brush off Caleb Grant.

"What?" His voice came through angrily over the phone, "Emily Hayes, you're my girlfriend, how can you leave me and go abroad?"

"We've already broken up." I calmly stated the fact.
