Chapter 9

The Next Day...

Julie:

"Hurry up, Julia! We're going to be late for the exam!"

Julia:

"Coming, coming!"

Julie:

"I won't let Maria come with us today, she looks exhausted."

Julia:

"Yeah, she really does."

At the university

The girls were running, trying to make it on time — until Julie bumped into Leo.

Julie (angrily):

"Can't you watch where you're going?!"

Leo:

"You were the one running!"

Julie:

"Ugh..."

Max:

"What's going on here?"

Leo:

"She crashed into me!"

Max:

"Oh... by the way, how's your friend doing?"

Julie:

"That's none of your business!"

(She stormed off)

Max:

"Arrogant."

Leo:

"I actually like that kind of arrogance."

Max:

"Shut up, let's go before we're late."

Once they got inside, Matthew waved at them:

Matthew:

"Hey guys! Come over here!"

Max:

"For cheating?"

Matthew:

"Of course!"

Just then, Julia walked in, her hair flowing dramatically.

Matthew (in awe):

"Wowww..."

Max:

"What?"

Matthew:

"Look..."

Max:

"You idiot..."

Then Julie entered.

Leo:

"There she is. The arrogant one."

Matthew (laughing):

"What?"

Leo:

"She bumped into me earlier."

Matthew:

"And that's why you're mad?"

Leo:

"Pretty much."

Meanwhile, Julie noticed Matthew and said:

Julie:

"He's here!"

Julia:

"Who?"

Julie:

"That jerk!"

But Julia saw Matthew and got lost in his beauty.

Julie:

"Hey you!!"

Julia:

"nothing, nothing..."

. . .

Back at home, Maria woke up and found out the girls had already left.

An hour later, Julie and Julia returned, and they began planning their trip to Mexico, while the boys were finalizing their trip to Bali.

The Day of Travel...

John said goodbye to the boys and headed back home. Meanwhile, the girls, as usual, were late — they rushed to the wrong plane... the one headed to Bali, not Mexico!

Flight Attendant:

"Please fasten your seatbelts."

(She began her usual safety instructions)

Maria closed her eyes... Suddenly, she felt hands holding hers.

When she opened her eyes — her parents were there.

Parents:

"Don't worry, sweetheart. We're with you."

Maria:

"Mom... Dad..."

Suddenly—

Julie (shaking her):

"Maria! You were dreaming?"

Maria:

"Yes... I saw my parents."

Julie:

"Are you afraid of flying?"

Maria:

"Terrified. Planes are the reason I lost my family."

Moments later...

Flight Attendant:

"This flight is now departing to Bali."

The girls (together):

"BALI???"

Julia:

"No no, stop the plane! This is the wrong flight!"

Attendant:

"I'm sorry ma'am, the doors are closed. There's nothing we can do now."

Julie:

"All our luggage is on the other plane! How could I not check!?"

Attendant:

"I'm truly sorry."

Max (from behind):

"What's with all the noise?"

Leo:

"No idea, I'll go check."

Leo:

"What's going on here?"

Attendant:

"She says she's on the wrong flight. But the plane has already taken off."

Leo (to the girls):

"You heard her. There's nothing to be done!"

Julie:

"You again?! Why are you always following us everywhere?"

Leo:

"Me?! This is MY trip to Bali. You were supposed to be going to Mexico!"

(He stormed off, irritated)

Maria:

"Calm down, Julie... But you really should've checked."

Julie:

"How can I calm down?!"

Julia:

"Please, Julie, breathe."

Julie:

"I'm only staying calm... for you two."

Maria:

"I'm going to the restroom."

Julie:

"Be careful."

Maria:

"Don't worry."

She walked off... and accidentally bumped into Max.

Max:

"Oh! Sorry."

Maria:

"No problem."

(They locked eyes)

Max:

"It's you!"

Maria:

"It's... you?"

(She turned and ran away)

Max stood there, completely shocked by her reaction.

Maria rushed back to her seat, breathing heavily.

Julie:

"What's wrong?"

Maria:

"It's him... it's him..."

Julia:

"Wait— is it that guy? The one who tried to hurt you?!"

Maria:

"No no, not him... someone I bumped into a while ago."

Julie:

"Then why are you so scared?"

Maria:

"I don't want him to ask me... about my name. He asked me the last time we met. I was so afraid back then — maybe it was just his look, or maybe it was me..."

(The girls didn't really understand what she meant... but they stayed silent.)

Meanwhile, with the boys...

Max:

"I finally saw her again."

Leo:

"Who?"

Max:

"That girl... the one my dad's been looking for."

Matthew:

"Wait— why is your dad looking for her?"

(Max explained everything to them...)
