Upon arriving in Bali…
Maria:
"Wow… this island is absolutely beautiful. Honestly, what we did was amazing."
Julie:
"Maria…"
Maria:
"I'm just telling the truth!"
Julia could only laugh at them.
Julie:
"So… what are we going to do now? All our clothes are in Mexico—wait!"
Maria:
"What??"
Julie:
"How did that jerk know we were going to Mexico?!"
Leo, who happened to be nearby, overheard and replied:
Leo:
"Because when you girls were rushing, I clearly heard you yell, 'Yes, we're going to Mexico!' while running toward the gate to Bali."
Julie:
"You again?! Why are you always eavesdropping?! What do you even want? Why do you keep showing up wherever I go?! Can't you just disappear from my life?!"
Leo:
"This will be our last meeting."
Julie:
"I truly hope so. Girls, let's go exchange our money."
Julie started walking to the right—even though the exchange counter was to the left.
Leo (chuckling):
"It's to your left, miss."
Julie:
"Oh my god, can you not? I know where it is! I don't need your help."
Leo:
"Clearly. Since you're walking the wrong way."
Max:
"Enough, Leo."
Leo:
"She's insane."
Julie shot him a side eye. He pretended to be scared, and that made her chuckle.
Leo:
"Wow! That's the first time I've seen her smile!"
Max:
"Let's gooo!"
One hour later…
The boys arrived at the resort they had booked—only to find out, by complete coincidence, that the girls had booked the exact same one.
Max (on the phone):
"Yes, I saw her, Dad."
John:
"Where?"
Max:
"She's on the same trip as us."
John:
"This is your chance to get to know her… and ask her to come home."
Max:
"But Dad… she's with two other girls. Could they be her sisters? Or relatives?"
John:
"She told me she was an only child!"
Max:
"Maybe she lied to you?"
John:
"I don't know, son. For now, just enjoy your vacation."
Meanwhile, Matthew was staring from the balcony.
Matthew (suddenly):
"GUYS!"
Leo:
"What??"
Matthew:
"Look!!"
Leo:
"What is it?"
Max:
"What's going on?"
Leo (pointing):
"It's them. The girls—again!"
Max (grinning):
"This is going to be fun."
Matthew:
"What are you planning now, Leo?"
Leo (smirking):
"That's none of your business. But hey, how about we go down to reception?"
Matthew:
"Ah… I get it now."
Max was daydreaming until Matthew called his name again, snapping him out of it. The three boys headed down to the reception and—unsurprisingly—ran into the girls again.
Julie:
"Again?!"
Leo:
"We booked this place first!"
Julie:
"Shut it!"
Maria:
"Let's just go, Julie. No more arguing, please…"
But before she could finish her sentence—Maria suddenly fainted.
Julie & Julia (together):
"Maria!!"
She collapsed—right into Max's arms.
Julie (pointing):
"Put her on that couch, please!"
Minutes later, Maria slowly opened her eyes.
Maria:
"My head… what happened?"
Julia:
"You fainted."
Julie:
"Are you okay?"
Maria:
"Yes… don't worry. Let's go rest in our room."
Julie:
"One room? Perfect!"
Julia:
"Woooow!"
Matthew:
"Insane girls…"
Julia gave him a sarcastic glare 😒 and the rest burst out laughing.
Maria:
"Come on, let's go!"
Max:
"Alright boys, let's hit the beach."
Back in the girls' room…
Maria:
"Can you tell me who carried me and put me on the couch?"
Julia:
"Why?"
Maria:
"Because… I felt the same safety I felt the day that guy helped me at the university. I didn't see his face clearly back then… but the scent was so familiar."
Julie:
"I think it was that blond guy—the one you're scared of."
Maria (shocked):
"What?! No way! Could he really be the same guy who helped me back then? The one whose coat I still have?"
Julie:
"Maybe…"
Maria:
"I think… it really is him. Even though he scares me… I feel safe when he's near."
Julia:
"Okay, this is turning into a full-on Mexican drama!"
Julie and Maria burst into laughter.
Maria:
"So? What's the plan for today?"
Julie:
"We're not going anywhere until you feel better!"
Maria:
"I'm fine! I was just tired… and hungry."
Julie:
"You could've said that earlier! Let's go find a nearby restaurant."
Julia:
"Yesss, let's go!"
To be continued…
