Maria:
"Let's go, I'm starving. Where's the restaurant?"
Julie:
"Right over there."
Maria:
"Finally!"
They entered... and just minutes later, the guys walked in too.
Julia:
"Look who's here!"
Julie:
"Who?"
Julia:
"See for yourself."
Julie:
"Ugh, not again..."
Maria:
"Unfortunately... yes, again."
Leo overheard and smirked:
Leo:
"Again!"
Max:
"Please don't start anything."
Matthew:
"Let him be. It's love, Max."
Max:
"What kind of love starts with arguments?"
Matthew:
"You clearly don't watch those types of dramas."
Leo:
"Can you all stop? Let's just eat, I'm starving."
Matthew:
"Wait, did you just say you're hungry? That's usually my line!"
Leo:
"Zip it."
Matthew:
"Fine..."
—
Maria:
"I want to order everything on the menu!"
Julie:
"Because you're that hungry?"
Maria:
"Yes! And if you were food, I'd eat you too!"
After the food arrived...
Julie (grumbling):
"I can't stand his presence."
At the same moment, Leo muttered the same exact thing from the other table. Their friends just stared and told them both to shut it already.
Julie:
"I'm going to the restroom."
She left.
Julia:
"Maria, today is Julie's birthday. What do you think about surprising her?"
Maria:
"That's a great idea!"
They quickly prepared the surprise before Julie returned.
Julie:
"I'm back."
Maria:
"So, what do you say we hit the beach after this? I love the ocean at night."
Julie:
"That sounds perfect."
Maria:
"Should I ask for the bill?"
Julia winked at Maria without Julie noticing.
Julie:
"Yeah, go ahead."
Maria:
"The bill, please."
Waiter:
"Of course, miss."
Suddenly, birthday music started playing. The restaurant staff surrounded the girls' table, singing and dancing!
Maria:
"Happy Birthday, Julie!"
Julia:
"Happy Birthday, Julie!"
Julie (surprised):
"Wait... today's my birthday? Oh my god, I totally forgot! Thank you so much!"
Maria:
"No need to thank us—we're sisters, remember?"
They all hugged tightly.
Meanwhile, at the boys' table...
Matthew:
"Guys, I'm going over there. I want to befriend them—they're really sweet!"
Leo:
"Sweet? Those girls? Especially that one—total trouble. Maybe just her friends are okay..."
Max:
"Wait, they're just friends?"
Leo:
"Yeah, why?"
Max:
"I thought they were sisters..."
Leo:
"Well, your friend Leo here knows everything about everyone."
Max:
"So... maybe you know something about Maria too?"
Leo:
"Not much. She's new, remember?"
But then, surprisingly, Leo started listing everything he knew about Maria—so much that Max was shocked.
Max:
"Wait... did you say her mother's name was Eliana?"
Leo:
"Yeah, why?"
Max:
"My mom had a friend named Eliana too!"
Then Max shared everything his father had told him about his mom's past.
Leo:
"You think your mom and her mom knew each other?"
Max:
"Maybe...?"
Matthew:
"But how would we know? We don't even have a picture of her mom."
Max:
"My dad definitely has photos from their wedding."
Matthew:
"And how do you plan to talk to her when she's clearly afraid of you? What did you even do to her?"
Max:
"Nothing. But I need to find out why."
Leo:
"Then we'll figure it out... together."
To be continued...
