The Nodin Group

At some point, a girl had taken a seat beside Endymion. She looked petite and delicate, with a fair but somewhat pale complexion, giving off a slightly malnourished impression. Her face was plain, not exactly beautiful, and she wore a simple T-shirt and jeans—cheap but clean and tidy.

At this moment, the girl looked at him with expectant eyes; it was clearly she who had just tugged his sleeve.

"Is there something you need?" Endymion asked, puzzled — he didn't recognize her.

"Could you move over just a little?" she timidly requested.

Endymion glanced at the spot beside her and suddenly understood: the subway was crowded, and the seats were packed. A blond youth sat on her other side and was clearly taking advantage of the crowded space to harass her.

"Let's switch seats," Endymion suggested.

The girl eagerly agreed, relieved to escape the harassment.

However, it was obvious that Endymion had made an enemy of the blond youth.

"You've got some nerve, kid!" the blond youth glared fiercely at Endymion.

Endymion ignored him, pretending not to hear.

"Hey, you want to mess with me? Stealing my stuff?" The blond youth suddenly jumped up, shouting loudly.

His outburst attracted attention; dozens of eyes turned their way instantly.

"Boring!" Endymion replied coolly, unconcerned by the weak excuse.

"Hey! Don't accuse me wrongfully! He didn't steal from you!" The girl summoned her courage to defend Endymion.

Surprised, Endymion looked at her — this fragile girl actually dared to stand up for him. It was unexpected.

"Of course a thief won't admit it," the blond youth insisted, fixing Endymion with a challenging stare. "Kid, do you dare let me search you?"

"You're not a cop, no right to search me!" The girl grew bolder.

"One minute to next stop, passengers to Noding Tower please prepare to disembark…" The clear voice of a female announcer echoed in the carriage.

Endymion frowned — the subway stop was imminent. He didn't want to waste time on this nonsense. Silently muttering a spell, a small fireball shot toward the blond youth.

"Ahhh…" The youth screamed as his crotch suddenly caught fire. Panic-stricken, he jumped wildly, frantically trying to put it out but afraid to hurt himself.

Endymion quickly rushed forward and gave the youth's crotch a good beating as the youth shrieked in pain.

By now, the train had arrived. Endymion stopped and calmly said, "You should thank me. If it weren't for me, you might have burned to death."

The blond youth turned pale, clutching his crotch, his agonizing pain rendering him speechless.

Ignoring the stunned stares around, Endymion clapped his hands and leisurely got off the train, heading outside the station.

At the moment the subway started moving again, the blond youth let out a terrible howl.

The Noding Group headquarters was a 68-story skyscraper. For all employees, the 68th floor was forbidden — it belonged exclusively to Yu Xuenah. Without her permission, not even the chairman of the board could access it. Even the public elevators only went up to the 67th floor; the elevator to the 68th was private.

"Auntie, I'm here! Come down to get me." Endymion activated his wrist computer to contact Yu Xuenah as he entered the building.

The wrist computer integrated many functions; communication was basic among them.

"You're late. As punishment, you'll have to make your own way up!" Yu Xuenah's pretty face appeared on the screen, clearly displeased.

"All right." Endymion sighed and approached the pretty receptionist.

"Sir, how may I assist you?" The receptionist smiled sweetly, her tone polite enough to make Endymion feel flattered.

"I'm here to see Miss Yu Xuenah," he said honestly.

"Do you have an appointment with her?" The receptionist hesitated.

"Of course, we scheduled it earlier. You can verify with her," Endymion replied quickly.

"I'll check with Miss Yu now. May I have your name, please?" The receptionist remained courteous.

"My surname is Endymion." Endymion hesitated briefly but said it anyway. The surname was rare, and on Shui Meng Star, anyone who heard it would immediately think of the Endymion family.

Sure enough, upon hearing the name, the receptionist's eyes brightened. She looked at Endymion differently, then proceeded to contact Yu Xuenah.

At that moment, the exclusive elevator to the 68th floor opened, and a mature, stunning woman emerged.

"Auntie!" Endymion hurried over.

"Hehe, Endymion, I told you you've gotten more handsome!" Yu Xuenah unabashedly patted his face. "And a bit chubbier, looks like you've been doing well lately!"

Her soft hand stroked his cheek, making Endymion's heart race. Her familiar scent intoxicated him.

"Auntie, shall we go upstairs now?" Endymion said shyly.

"Let's go!" Yu Xuenah linked her arm with his as they walked toward the elevator.

The softness of her arm against his made him blush anew. This charming aunt was simply irresistible; even after so long, he still couldn't resist her allure.

What Endymion didn't know was that many eyes behind them were glaring fiercely. Everyone was thinking the same thing — they wanted to take down this brat who dared to get close to Yu Xuenah!

Entering Yu Xuenah's bedroom, Endymion shook his head. It wasn't his first time here, and the room hadn't changed since last year.

Though reasonably clean, it was still messy, with clothes and socks strewn everywhere, two pairs of underwear tossed on the bed, and even a bra on the sofa.

So Endymion began doing the same thing he did a year ago — tidying the room.

Yu Xuenah helped as usual, but it only got worse.

Despite this, Endymion didn't refuse her help. As they cleaned together, they chatted about events that had happened to each over the past year.

Time flew, and by noon, the room was finally in order.

"Hmm, Endymion, I'm getting a bit hungry. Let's go buy groceries and cook," Yu Xuenah stretched, looking at the now tidy room.

"Sure." Endymion naturally agreed.

Though Yu Xuenah claimed she was celebrating his birthday every year, it was usually Endymion doing most of the work while she "helped" in her usual clumsy way.

She was a genius mech designer but hopeless at daily chores.

Minutes later, arm-in-arm, they exited the elevator.

"Xuejie!" A girl in the lobby ran up to Yu Xuenah joyfully.

"Huh?" Endymion blinked, almost doubting his eyes. Upon closer look, it really was her — but... did she have multiple personalities?
